What hypocrisy? That law enforcement agencies get to do things that regular citizens don't? Well that's just a shocker isn't it? Next you're going to tell me that regular citizens don't get to write traffic tickets.

Anyways, here is some more hypocrisy from the US government.
http://www.examiner.com/article/dhs-...assault-rifles
"It's a bid by DHS to purchase 7000 select fire (read: automatic) AR-15 rifles. If you look at the specifications, the government is requiring them to be select fire meaning there's 3 options not 2 like on normal AR-15's you buy in the store. These have safe, semi, and auto options. They also must take 20 and 30 rounds magazines, have rails to put accessories, and a fixed pistol grip and durable vertical grip. The latter to are both deemed 'military features'.
"DHS and its components have a requirement for a 5.56x45mm NATO, select-fire firearm suitable for personal defense use in close quarters and / or when maximum concealment is required.""
So here you have a domestic agency (DHS)...buying 7 thousand true assault rifles with full automatic capablility.

Dude, you're making no sense at all.
The average gun grabber (whateve that is) isn't (or in a more accurate sense, didn't between '94 and 2004) ban AR15s becasue they looked scary, and not do anything about the Mini 14. What they did was ban any gun that fit the classification of an assault rifle, meaning, among other things, short barrels, high capacity magazines, certain kinds of stocks, and other features. If it fit the criteria, those much less scary looking mini 14s were just as illegal.
You could buy variants of both that fit the criteria, and you couldn't buy the variants of others that didn't.
As for the "Hypocracy" of a goverment agency buying things the public can't, you can't be serious.
Do you honestly believe that anyone should be able to buy a tank, or a .50 fully auto machine gun, or a fighter jet.
Becasue as you may have noticed, those are all things that the government buys on a pretty regular basis, that joe public most certainly can't.

Animal Farm - George Orwell
I would rather you read and learn something about guns before you post anymore in a thread about firearms.

just give the cliffs notes ok. I'm not going to read a book that will have no impact on my feelings about guns, so I can appease you.

It's a book about animals that revolt and take over a farm and set up a communist collective.
Throughout the course of the book the pigs take more and more liberties until they basically replace the humans reaping all the benfits of the labour of the rest of the poor animals.
So it clearly has a bunch to do with gun laws.

If you're willing to read the cliff notes you may as well just read the whole thing; it often comes in at around 100 pages or so.

Mr. Jones' runs a farm but his exploitation of the workers via his own laziness and excess causes a pig, Old Major, to call for a rebellion of the animals to take back the farm. While successful, Old Major dies and the cause is taken up by two other pigs named Snowball and Napoleon. After the rebellion, the bourgeois pony leaves to a neighboring farm.
Seven Commandments are created (things with only two legs are the enemy, no animal shall wear clothes, sleep in a bed, drink alcohol etc.) with the last one being 'All animals are created equal.
Snowball is the progressive of the two pigs and most in line with Old Major's intentions. Charismatic and idealistic, he is however chased off the farm by Napoleon's dogs and Napoleon assumes control of Animal Farm.
Napoleon continues to use his dogs to purge the farm of his rivals while negotiating shady deals with other farmers as well as selling the dead workhorse to a meat factory (the horse having worked himself to death in the name of the farm). Eventually the pigs start to walk upright, sleep in beds and trade the farm's production for alcohol and decadence for themselves. Eventually the commandments are changed to read only "All animals are created equal, but some animals are more equal than others."
So yeah...guns.

ah, so the humans are the people that are excercising their second amendment rights, and the pigs are the hypocritical government? Now I get it.

No, it’s not, BBS. It’s an allegorical novella about Stalinism by George Orwell, and spoiler alert, IT SUCKS.
