I like the way they use Spitfire. It's a loud song and adds a bit of energy to a sometimes dull atmosphere. It's also was never a top 40 song so it's not like it trended in and out of mainstream. Most people in the building don't even have any idea that it's from The Prodigy if they even know who that is.
The goal song sucks because it's trended out of mainstream. It's outdated and lame like Gundam Style will be in 2 or 3 years.

We need to hire someone like the singer in Boston.
What? Are you on crack? Heather is perfect. Both in voice, and looks.

This. Simply for how rediculous it would be.

I love the song, but it wouldn't work as a goal song.
I don't dislike Duck Sauce as our current goal song, but think that there could be better alternatives out there.
And all of those asking to go back to Shot Down In Flames, please no. Just because a song contains the words "Flames" or "Fire" doesn't mean it should be used. For goal songs, it should be something that has energy and features a chant that the crowd can get involved with. Blackhawks and Canadiens are examples of appropriate goal songs.
To cater to you AC/DC crowd, how about something from Airbourne? They have high energy songs that features chants that could be used for goals. Such as Armed and Dangerous at the 3:32 mark.
As for the intro, Spitfire is great, but has been used for so long now that I would be in favour for something new and fresh. One poster a few months back suggested this song and I'm in favour.
But please, no AC/DC. Their music is not goal song material imo. You need something with a 'dance' kind of beat. Or something with an infectious sing along melody that the crowd can get into and simultaneously annoy the crap out of everyone watching, like the one at the united center.. Something like Zombie nation by Kenkraft, Crescendolls by Daft Punk, The Rockafeller Skank by Fatboy Slim. All would be awesome, feel good songs.. or some other song in the same ballpark.
I still think that the after goal song should be "Sleep Now in the Fire" by Rage Against the Machine. It has everything that a goal song should have IMO with both a section of chanting, and the reference to the other team burning in hell. I would definitely love to see that!

Alright, when is someone going to start using Brass Bonanza again? The Whalers aren't coming back and it's a classic. At the very least home teams should use that ish when they score on the 'Canes.
