That's because most of the working level boomers haven't really seen their average age go up much (only about 1 year), it's people that in mid level and above paying jobs that have seen the bulk of the average age increase over the past few decades. The vast majority of people, if the retirement age was raised would be screwed.
The only equitable and fair solution to the problem is to tier it so that people that make more get less benefits.

I don't jay walk. I don't cross in a crosswalk unless the the light indicates I'm allowed to do so. A flashing hand does not mean start crossing. There are cars that are likely wanting to turn right and by me starting to walk late, I am stopping them from getting to where they want to go.
People who stick their arms in closing elevator doors are giant dbags. There are other high speed elevators right next to the one that is closing. You are not more important than the people inside the elevator. They were there first and you delaying each of them 30 seconds in order to get to your floor 15 seconds earlier is a dick move.
People who don't know the correct their/there/they're are dumb. People who put apostrophes on every word with an s are also dumb. It's not jersey's. It's jerseys.

I occasionally accidentally capitalize words randomly. I do also like Oprah a lot as well (I don't watch her network though)

I like to watch old movies and from them it seems that every generation thinks the previous one was "entitled". The new generation only sees the end result, not the struggle it took to achieve things. If you've worked hard all your life for a pension, social security or whatever, of course you would feel "entitled" to it. You put into it, and that's the bargain that was made.
I do feel bad for younger people in a way because although there seem to be so many more opportunities (if you are intelligent of course) there is also so much more competition. I've read lots of stuuff about kids in the States falling for the promises of for-profit universities who inflate job opportunities. I was kinda happy that the Art Institutes got into trouble. They have kids/parents convinced that there are millions of animation jobs just waiting to be filled.

Who takes 30 seconds to get on an elevator? Do you work with snails?

Door reopens. Guy gets on. Three more people follow him in. Door does the slow close with the beeping because it's been open for so long. Door opens when the guy who held the door originally gets off on the lowest floor. Door closes again. I'd say it's about 30 seconds.

Yes. Easy to say considering boomers were able to inherit an economy where the majority could get away with being uneducated and work unskilled, manufacturing or retail jobs and still be able to afford a house, a car and all the trimmings. But in turn, once they became the dominant generation they turned the world economy in to a disaster zone.
Good job. You deserve 20 years of pension.
