Albertans and Lower Mainlandians are the worst drivers in Canada.

Considering the demographic of this board, I don't see how that could be construed as an unpopular opinion....unless you are just talking about unpopular with the Commander-in-Chief.

I've lived in both the Lower Mainland and Calgary. The drivers in the LM are honestly atrocious.

I like Ron Paul, and wish more Americans had joined his camp.

I, too, like Bouwmeester (perhaps only because I'm subconsciously attempting to justify my jersey purchase).

I'm not all that tolerant of religious faith, as we're often told we must be. In today's world of such tremendous and increasingly expansive human knowledge, I view it as dangerous that so many purely faith-based claims are allowed to float around in the public discourse relatively unscathed. Militant Islam has most people afraid to criticize a whole myriad of genuinely repugnant ideas in many parts of the world, and you have no chance of being President of the world's most powerful nation if you don't endorse that the Bible in some way or another represents the word of the creator of the universe. We're at a point in human history where the fusion of destructive weaponry and outmoded perspectives of the world could pose a real hazard, and I'm of the opinion that the religiously moderate or non-fundamentalist among us make matters worse by apologizing for these bad ideas or for the type of world views that give rise to them.

Spiritualism is mumbo jumbo.

Alternative medicine is a scam.

The human race is slowing moving backward evolutionarily.

Love Omaha, but still think Holdem is better because its easier to read people.

My first time playing Omaha at a casino I walked out with $5500 on a $200 buy-in.

Game of Thrones is not a good show. Winter has not come in the first 7 episodes. I'm bored and it sucks.

-I like Mormons.

-Guns don't kill people; escaped lions kill people. Ban zoos!

-Ray Lewis got away with murder.

-Political correctness, "feel-good" politics, and other self-crippling BS is the reason that Western civilization is pucked.

-Corollary: Free speech is dead.

-Failure to use soap after urinating is a sign of low intelligence. "Surely everyone else wants to shake my penis as much as I do, right?"

-Life was better before the internet.

The economic problems in Alberta during the National Energy Program years were as much a fault of Peter Lougheed's decisions to halt development and exploration projects.

I would say that the "older" end of the Baby Boomer generation has a sense of entitlement--at least the ones I meet around here. They compare their wages to mine--like, hey, I only made 200 bucks a week delivering mail or whatever. But then a good new car cost a small fraction of a yearly working class salary, not half or more.
I admire the sacrifices of the Greatest Generation and for the most part the ones left seem really cool. Or maybe they're just on more meds. Some of their stories are so fascinating.

The impression I get from a lot of people in their late teens/early 20s is that the world owes them something, or that they have been cheated, and would rather not work than take a job that is not their "dream job".
I've been a vegetarian for a long time but I just calmly refuse to eat certain things rather than get up on a soapbox. It's really annoying at cookouts etc, because the smell of BBQ realy makes me ill. Eventually people ask why, and then I get the "we're on top of the food chain" lecture. And the point is?
I am a big fan of some-not all-forms of falconry. Most vegetarians/vegans consider that a blood sport for some reason, so I don't fit in on either side.

I can see why younger people would think life is more expensive for them. It's become moreso for everybody. At one time you had to buy books, now it's thousands of dollars worth of gadgets just to keep up.
So maybe it's not so much "entitlement" as the awful realization that things aren't what they used to be.

Ray Lewis is a murderer who no one should idolize and is lucky that in America there is a seperate justice system for the rich and famous.

- Tarintino has been overrated for a while now, movies are ok, but nothing epic since his earlier days for sure.

- Hip hop is dead

- 2pac, though great, was either a hypocrite or a schizophreniac, as his words conflict so much song to song, album to album.

- Western civiliazation has this false notion that things should work, life should be great, and that we are all ever-deserving of great fortune. =

- A job is a job. I get this notion from people in my generation that you have it wrong if you work to simply earn, even if it means you don't necessarily love your job everyday.

Democracy is overrated. It ensures big deficits and creates lowest common denominator politics.
