So it turns out the 'boy' is 17, which certainly changes things in terms of the optics of the whole situation. What is it with the British looking either like chubby 12 year olds or octogenarians? There is no middle ground.

So glad Swansea is making the Cup final. I suppose they don't deserve any credit holding a massively talented side in Chelsea to Zero goals in both games either.

As far as did he kick the kid yes he did its pretty clear he kicked the kid in the ribs 1:17. Did the kid milk it afterwards yes its obvious just as obvious as Hazard kicking a ball boy. Who does that.

He plays for Chelsea, we already know his character...

Impressionable young footballers taken under the wing of John Terry.

Just to re-cap on the Blues past 12 months:

- John Terry, while suspended for the Champions League final, that his team miraculously wins, finds the time to jump on the field after the match, adorned in his full playing kit, taking center stage.

- John "I sleep with team-mates wives" Terry racism case, results in 4 game suspension. Oddly enough, his explanation for calling Anton a "'f****** black c***' wasn't strong enough to appeal.

- Not even 9 months after being hired, and better yet -- just 6 months after leading his team to winning the Champions League, manager Roberto di Matteo is fired.

- Days later, after a rigorous interview process, with countless desireable applicants, he is replaced with the affable Rafael "FACT! Waiter" Benitez. Pundits around, conclude he is well on his way to permanency. (Permanent Chelsea job. yeah i lol'd)

- Blues player, Mikel, frustration with the unforeseeable thought that Manchester United would beat them in Stamford Bridge, accuses referee Clattenburg of insulting him with a racist quirp. The subsequent investigation is to the contrary, and Mikel is found guilty, and banned for 3 games, and £60,000 fine.

- Eden Hazard impatient with the efficiency in which the ball-"boy" is returning the ball, causes him to fall onto a ball, where he subsequently tries to kick the ball out from under the lad, but also kicks his ribs. Thankfully, the kid has the gall of a certain liverpool striker, and after his home side wins, he visits the opponents dress room to graciously accept apology.

Chelsea's Eden Hazard has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association after kicking out at a Swansea ball boy.
The Belgian midfielder, 22, faces a three-match ban for his dismissal, but the FA alleges the standard punishment was "clearly insufficient".

This has to be the end for Lambert.

Only one man can save Villa now.

It is hard to laugh at Lambert's misfortune when Norwich have been knocked out by a conference side. Just brutal. I had the "pleasure" of watching this one live, and Luton deserve the win. They were on the back foot for much of the game, but Norwich never really looked like they were going to win it.

Not exactly a confidence boost gong back into the league mid-week vs. Spurs. Free falling!

Fergie serious about the cup.

de Gea, Rafael, Evra, Carrick, Rooney start.

Perhaps it is because I am not British so didn't grow up watching these competitions but I find it hard to care that much about winning or losing in the FA and Carling/Capital One/Whatever it is called today Cups.

They seem like competitions for crap clubs like Liverpool to go all out to feel better about their 12th place finish while big clubs don't really care.

^ I sincerely hope this was some sort of attempt to troll this thread or wind up Liverpool supporters or fans of other "crap clubs." Because if it was not, it may have been the single most ridiculous football-related comment I have read on CP.

Real football fans of any and every club in England (and Wales) would take offence to this line of thinking - if you can call it such.

I just got home from the Brentford Chelsea game. Great game and amazing atmosphere.

"You're having a laugh, you're having a laugh, champions of Europe? Your having a laugh"

The bees gave them all they could handle in the first half and in the second they were mostly hanging on. Ref's seemed to be favouring the PL players, but Brentford got lucky near the end with what looked like a handball in/near the box. Not being able to hang on to two leads is disappointing, but not unexpected. Turnbull is pure garbage, many many mistakes throughout the game.

Proud of the bees and a well deserved draw. Can't help but think that the club would almost prefer a replay at Stamford bridge for the extra income. It is no secret that promotion is the main goal for the club this year.

I have some pics from the game that I will try and remember to upload and post later.

Certainly not any attempt to wind up anyone just my feelings on the competitions.

Not sure why you take such offense to it since I didn't say you shouldn't care about them or others shouldn't care about them just my feelings.

Good to see the BS "real" fan label isn't just used in hockey and that there are folks everywhere ready to tell people how they have to enjoy the game and cheer for their team.

Spurs were rubbish

Caulker had the worst game of his life and the fact that with Adebayor at CAF Obika is our 3rd option at striker is not good enough
