Just cancelled my gamecentre and will go with centre ice. The pic quality is fine but when the camera moves fast its noticeably choppy, and despite having a wired connection to my internet which is at 13 megabits right now on average and a very low and stable ping it buffers way too much a period, at least 3 times. What I found interesting is they literally asked me no questions and just cancelled it as soon as I asked. Normally you have to fight people lol. I almost feel neglected now haha

I decided to get this. The quality is about the same as clandestine streams, but it's nice to watch games at anytime. I'm going to watch the Flames/ Oilers game again.
Edit: I guess I have to wait 48 hours. Lame.

I watched Friday's Devils-Caps game this morning. At FIVE different times the action just stopped dead. I'm using an Apple TV so I don't know if that is the issue and if it would have worked fine if I was using my laptop instead.

A couple times I waited 30 seconds and the play came back. A couple times I hit rewind, then play and it came back. The fifth time I just let the wheel spin, got the laundry of the dryer, put the clothes away, fixed myself a snack, sent a couple e-mails, went back to the den area and still... spinning wheel. I had to stop the stream, exit to the menu, restart the stream and fast forward the first hour to get back to the point in the game I was at originally. Annoying as F.

The NHL is terrible with the gcl service. First the app, that they had months to update, won't be ready for at least the first two weeks of a shortened season. Second, I can't even sign on to gcl to watch anything. They don't send you anything but automated FAQ emails, don't answer my emails and during the evenings whenever I try live chat no one is there. My only complaint with with GameCentre is the random 20 second rewinding on the 360 and PS3 app. I haven't had any issues watching on my computer.

Well that was a piss-off. I flip over to watch OT in the MIN/STL game and it tells me that I can't because the full-length replay of the game isn't yet available. Well, that would be because the game is still ongoing, you bloody idiots.

So last season I had to get their tech people to open up IPs for Iceland to get game center to work. They wrongly included Iceland in the nordic nations as places GC was not available due to them having other local options and agreements etc..

Well from day 1 there have been blacked out games, always the NBC games and so I got an online person to ask wtf was up with that, and watch this ######ation below:

If you own all your Shaw boxes, will they replace them for free if you order Centre Ice. The only thing that stops me from ordering Sunday Ticket and Centre ice every year is that my boxes are not the new versions that will display the picture (I think you need the MPEG4 boxes for them to work).

I'll say this very carefully, as I know that it is a touchy subject around here. But in this particular instance, where you're getting blacked out even in the absence of the games being available through a regional broadcaster, is circumventing these blackouts unethical?

You certainly shouldn't have to take an extra step to access content that you're paying for, obviously, but I know what I'd be doing right now.

Does anyone else have problems with the live chat on the GCL site? Whenever I go it says they are offline. GCL doesn't answer my emails, I`m not sure what to do. I login with my old password but am unable to see any content. I follow what it says to do on their FAQ by signing out but it doesn't make a difference! Does anyone know what to do in this case?

Well thankfully Kerry was awesome yet again, got the guys who run gamecenter to correct their staff that Iceland is indeed open to GC, and those blackouts are from ESPN broadcasts, which are shown in Iceland on TV, so quite rare really.

I doubt Calgary has a game on ESPN EU this season, but we'll see.
