Didnt see the game, oly the stat lines and highlight package.
Raptors havent been worked over on the Boards like that at any time this year. Really surprised because Davis and Johnson have been so strong.
Still though, that highlight pack will do wonders for Calderon's trade value hotting clutch threes in Miami. Great to see.

Was an entertaining game though you knew they wouldn't win. Heat cruised for at least half the game. Then came out and immediately came back from a deficit and took the lead. Impressively enough the Raps didn't just fade away. They had a legit chance to pull off the upset but relying on the jumpshooters to keep hitting shot after shot ain't getting it done.
Meanwhile Heat can just give it to Wade and he either gets the basket or heads to the foul line.

Wow, like a 9.5 on the difficulty scale for the win there by DeRozan

Even the lucky ones count.
Seems like the Raptors have done just enough to ensure they will lose the pick and get nothing this year, no play-offs, no pick, little future and little present. Thank god Burke was fired and Colangelo was able to keep his job.

That was an awesome shot by Demar. I'm still shocked it went in lol.

I think I'd rather lose it this year in a "meh" draft and have it back for next year in what is supposed to be one of the best in years. Owing protected picks is the worst.

This team does compete together.
Any chance Bargiani comes back with a new, team first attitude?

He's never been a selfish player. He's just not particularly smart, nor does he have a killer ambition. When he comes back it'll be the same ol' stupid IQ plays from him.

So the Raptors have lost 10 games already this season that they have lead in the 4th quarter of. As stated somewhere in this thread, they are the least clutch team in th NBA.
If you switch that so they lose only 5, then the Raptors are in the 8th spot. I think that if this team can demonstrate a better close out record down the stretch, that Colangelo will keep his job. He will say that the young team had to learn how to close out NBA games.

One of the reasons they can't close out games is that they don't have the talent to hold on to leads and often have those leads based on luck more than playing well.
This team isn't out of the play-offs because of tough luck down the stretch they are out of the play-offs because even in the pathetic East they don't have near enough talent to compete with even the average teams in the league.

That shot was about as tough(lucky) as could be but man about time one of my franchises provided a thrill. I'm so used to seeing the Raps, Flames, Jays etc choke that shot just left me feeling stunned. Had to watch it like 10 times again this morning just to let it sink in. They still suck but at least they are more entertaining this year. Well mostly against the other sucky teams but hey a thrill is a thrill.

I feel like thats the shot the Derozan has to take at the end of games (coming off the screen and shooting it), instead of going into an isolation and trying to be Kobe. Props to Derozan though, tough shot to take.

It's going to be hard to get him to fit into the role that they need him in. Right now, their second-unit consists of three decent shooting and driving guys (Lowry, Ross, Anderson). Bargnani hanging out near the 3-point line would be totally useless on that unit. He needs to just suck it up and play in the post (which he's shown he has the size and skill to do, just not the effort to do every game).
I agree with St Pats on the entertainment value. I enjoy the fact that despite the lack of talent, there's nobody on this team (not including Bargs on the IL) who really annoys me; everybody puts in the effort, even if they have weakness or flaws or lapses in focus.

WOW!
I just watched this on DVR and what a finish! Exciting finish! When was the last time the Raps had such an emotional win like that one?!
This team is going to make the playoffs soon. Maybe not this year, but I'll be shocked if they don't check in next year.

That is funny because there is basically nobody on this team that I particularly like. I think that Valciunas could be that guy but with the hype he got before the season I have become a bit tired of him. Likely comes from my hatred of Colangelo tainting my view and just being tired of the TO media constantly trying to overhype/defend this team. Outside of Derozan and Bargnani there isn't really a ton of guys I dislike just a whole lot of meh for most guys on the team.
