Upgrading ram on mid-2012 Macbook Pro 13"

Hey Guys,

Hoping ya'll good help me out.

I know I need 1600Mhz Sodimm DDR ram, but I was wondering whether I can install 16Gb? I've read that OS only supports 8Gb???

Also, installing my self will void my warranty??

And where is the cheapest place to buy ram from? I saw memex to be a pretty good deal, $93 for 16Gb?

The reason I'm thinking 16 instead of 8 is because I'd like to run Win8 in VM.

Installing it yourself does not void warranty- in fact Apple even posts instructions on there website. (Can't upgrade on Retina MBP)

The 2012 will work with 16GB even though Apple says 8GB- I have personally confirmed this.

Memory Express is where I buy my RAM and i search the internet- if any canadian retailers are cheaper memory express will price match and beat the difference.
