Looks like Philly will lose tonight to go to 0-3. Might be a bit of pressure on them to make a move in net?

Ive also been wondering if Edmonton is in the mix on this. Khabbybulin expires soon, and they have guys like pajaarvi and omark to offer.

Edmonton simply isn't going to happen. Luongo won't go there and we all know he prefers an eastern destination where his wife's and his families reside.

They were speculating today on Hockey Central, that the team might be Washington. Didn't sound like any of them had concrete info, just speculation.

I have no idea who the caps would be trying to push back onto Gillis......Ward? Jeff Schultz?

Would make sense that the Caps may look for a goalie like Luongo, they should be a Cup contender, and they are relying on a very inexperienced goaltender.

Agreed, Edmonton seems unlikely, but the hype and exitement around these young, budding stars is an X factor. I think Schultz signing in Edmonton out of any team in the entire league for the exact same contract that any team could offer really shows this X Factor as being legit.

Luongo's current contract is so insane, there is only one guy crazy enough to take that on *and* give up a valuable asset.

I am looking at you, Charles Wang..

Rumor out there is Luo for Gagner. Can't see Luongo accepting a deal to Edmonton but who knows.

I would love it as an Oilers fan. I don't think Gagner is the answer and Luongo can accelerate the rebuild by giving consistency (at least in the regular season).

I think he chose Edmonton because he knows their D is god-awful and he would get the most TOI to pad his stats for a big payday later.

Bob McKenzie confirmed it tonight on TSN radio. Something that I didn't know that McKenzie added on TSN radio was that Luongo's list of teams he wouldn't accept a trade to is very short.

Chicago would be great, Canucks/Hawks games would become even more crazy than they all ready are

Loungo's wife and kids do not live in Vancouver during the season. They stay in Florida . He probably wants to go more east but if that can't happen I doubt it would stop him from waiving.

I think the oil could land a 6-8 playoff spot with Loungo. I would send the Canucks MPS and Gagner for Lou and Tanev if I was Tambellini. A good starter and back up goalie/ decent bottom pair D in Tanev.

Well it had better be if Oiler fans are hoping Edmonton isn't on it.

Schultz wanted in because he didnt want to compete. I'm sure thats a quality that will certainly help Edmonton make the playoffs and win the cup...

Pittsburgh is planning to trade for Lalongo because they have no faith in their cup winning goalie with only a couple years left on his contract?? What a joke!

Philly is interested if they can find a taker for Bryzgalov?? Hahaha

Montreal is considering? :P

Gillis says he has a deal in place?? Are you kidding me??

If u have a deal in place, you are announcing a trade; pending physical or a player waiving a NTC. And it's a media source reporting it, not a GM. If anything, this hurts the proceedings.

Truth is, this was the worst case scenario in Vancouver. People are now slowly starting to debate Schneider or Lalongo!

Does anybody think any GM is going to believe they need to increase their offer for Him? Lalongo is a known commodity. Even if he posts 3 straight shutouts, the offers stay the same, but the pressure increases in Vancouver.
I honestly think Gilles missed his chance before the lockout, because now he will end up either eating a percentage of that fat contract or taking a fat one back.

Oilers should be all over this if... Canucks would accept that type of a deal.
