You absolutely bet Carrick played well, he was M.O.M.
Where did you pull this %40 possession stat from? I watched it. It was 50/50.
Totts created alot through the right side with Lennon. Evra had a poor game.

Agreed.

Maybe Valdes for a few years, & loan out de Gea.
Agreed on Begovic. Loris is top 2? I haven't watched much of him, but his mistakes & benchings sure get glamorized.

Reina has nose dived hard
I think the Butland rumors have weight and he's starting for them next year

Hes been making way too many uncharacteristic mistakes. It seems like a lack of focus, rumoured to be because Victor Valdes in Barca has stated that he wont renew his contract with them. Maybe Reina thinks hes already between the sticks at the Nou Camp.
Butland? I havent heard about that.

I always knew that Newcastle has a French fetish, but this is getting ridiculous ... after Debuchy, they have now signed Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa from Montpellier and Massadio Haidara from Nancy, plus Yoan Gouffran (Bordeaux) and Moussa Sissoko (Toulouse) are set to join the team this week as well. That would push the number of French players to 10, as they already have Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Amalfitano, Marveaux and Obertan ...

You don't think a tenacious guy like Rooney could've played through that?

Wow, that is some homerism.
Did you not notice his leg actually tripped up? Let's go along with your theory that Rooney baled on the fall.
That is a penalty in every sense of the call. The defender reached out to poke at where the ball used to be and that leg impeded rooney's leg and tripped him.
He may have been able to get the foot back under him, but he's certainly not going to recover to the ball. Tenacious yes. A world class sprinter, with only a trapeze line as a track, he is not.

I'm mostly just poking fun at United fans who claim he never goes over easy. I agree it should've been called, but thems the breaks.

Swing & a miss. He doesn't go down easy. That would be your left winger.

probably should have been a pen
it's not like I am the only one who said it, there was disagreement on the panel here after the game, on Sky after the game, and on various other players
some said Pen, others didn't
If you think Wayne Rooney didn't know exactly what he was doing though you are extremely naive

There's zero room for debate. It's a clear penalty. He taken out at the knee.
And if you think you know what Rooney's intentions are then you are delusional.

I think it's a clear penalty, but I also think he made a bit of a meal of it.

you don't think Rooney is going for a pen there?
I am not saying he's the only one who would do it, but it's exactly what he is doing, pushed the ball ahead and looked for contact, happens in every game

Absolute BS.
There is zero way you know what is intentions are, let alone "exactly what he is doing." He is going flat out into the box towards the goal then is taken out.
And, No.... I see zero evidence of him playing for the penalty there.

Coutinho to Liverpool would be a fantastic signing as well
I have no idea why Inter want to sell him, but there seems to be a lot saying it's likely

he probably is, but it's still a clear penalty because Caulker bites and trips him. I like Caulker and I think he is a talented player that can possibly go far, but he makes a rookie mistake in that situation. He was extremely lucky there, it's a clear penalty in my mind.

Zaha to United (with a loan back to Palace for this season) seems likely as well
