Should be a better game than the one these two teams played last year. San Francisconis more dynamic on offence, and Baltimore has decent good offensive talent.

Sf is missing 2 of the top 3 WR - Manningham and Kyle Williams - Moss was #4 and AJ Jenkins has been deactivated most weeks. And complimentary RB Kendall Hunter is also on IR. Otherwise they are as healthy as can be expected at this time of year - a bunch have been listed on the injury report as probable and playing through injury, so the extra week off should help in that respect.

Oh for sure, and these days with 32 teams and FA its harder than ever to win. I'm purely talking in a "Brady vs. Manning" debate. Manning's been getting killed since that Broncos loss.
I just felt the need to point out there's a been a few Pats teams heading into the dance in recent years expected to win a title and came up empty, yet you never (at least I haven't) hear the same criticisms of Brady like you do of Manning. Maybe the difference is that the Brady ones usually aren't one-and-done's, I don't know..

As a Patriots fan there was nothing wrong with that game as all.
Baltimore's experienced Defense stopped Brady, end of discussion.

The thing with Brady is his Super Bowls came before he was the dominant gunslinger QB we know now.
When they won those first three Super Bowls it was more of Brady just managing the game instead of having to be perfect while throwing for 300+ in order for them to win.
When they were winning they had a dominant defense and a good running game, now the teams are more similar to those Manning led Colts teams. Defense isn't as good, running game isn't great, so Brady has to throw for 300+ for them to win.

Not sure where "bandwagoner" is coming from. Last time I switched allegiances between teams was in 2006 when I stopped cheering for the Red Sox and started cheering for the Twins.

This pretty much defines Bandwagoner to me. You don't just change teams that you cheer for.
I didn't want to view this thread because I knew there would be at least one person giving Pats fans a bad rap- but its a slow day at work today and I'm bored. Anyway,
Plain and simple- Pats were out played in the second half. It's very concerning for me, this is the second straight Conference Championship that Brady has just not played well. Baltimore stopped the run and the loss of Gronk became evident.
Talib getting injured didn't help, but who knows if he could have kept up with the Ravens attack in the second half anyway.
Another dissapointing year- my one fear was facing Baltimore this year, they always seem to have our number. But I guess that shows the shape the Pats are in if I'm worreid about 1 team.
Congrats Drake and any other Raven fan on here, it's very exciting making it to the super bowl - enjoy the next couple weeks, you never know when you'll make it back.

The last three seasons, it seems to me Brady has been making poor decisions under pressure.

I agree troutman. It seems like since his injury he's a lot more nervous if you will in the pocket. Any sign of pressure and he's either droping to the ground or throwing it away.

Before the game yesterday, I heard that Brady had a career passer rating of 84 or so in the AFC Championship game, which by today's standards is not particularly good. When the Patriots win those games he get's a lot of help from the other parts of the team. Yesterday the defence got depleted a bit early and Brady and the offence weren't able to score their way out of it.

I don't know if I am included in that for picking against them but, other than Roddy White, I don't hate the Falcons I just didn't think they were as good as there record made them out to be and that Mike Smith is a terrible coach.
I certainly liked them better than the other 3 teams in the final 4 and would have very much preferred they win the SB out of those teams.

I might have been 9 or 10 so, no, it really doesn't count. It pisses the hell out of me when people label me as a bandwagoner for cheering on the Patriots when they've been my favourite team since I was 7 and not once have I cheered for another team. Still wanna be a little btch about it? Might as well label every 49ers fan who grew up in the 80's a bandwagoner.

All I said was that switching teams is the definition of bandwagoner to me. Had nothing to do with you being a Pats fan, although I was refering to you about being the one that gives us all a bad rap

Welker is a free agent, reports were yesterday that he could have very well played his last game as a Patriot. He's a good slot receiver who has made huge mistakes in the playoffs though. A lot of other teams though will still want him as he should put up good numbers for the next 3 years or so.

Sorry for giving you guys a bad rap, you do not deserve it. A bandwagoner would be joining a new team every so often. To clear things up, I simply switched teams because Justin Morneau was my favorite player as he was the shat back in 2006 and he is a Canadian.
Seeing as I'm no longer welcome in this thread, I'll stop posting for now, although I will be back to enjoy the misery of Ravens fans after they get spanked by San Francisco.
Go Patriots and (for the love of fata) Go 49ers.

Believe it or not I have been called a band wagon Chiefs fan in the past. Hard to believe now days. But I'm sure if the Chiefs ever pull themselves out of the basement and start a season 13-0, somebody, somewhere will call me a bandwagoner.

Then you're a Justin Morneau bandwagoner and you hop on and off as he switches teams - which is fine, there's nothing wrong with that. But ask yourself this, If Brady was traded- would you go cheer for that team? If so, then you're not a Pats fan, you're just a Brady fan- which again is fine, just don't get pissed if people call you a bandwagoner.
