Take a sharp knife and shave down the surface until you get past the crack, and then it will be good as new. Trust me.

I was thinking of replacing the screen glass, but will that affect the touch screen. It works fine now, but I worry if I remove the broken screen, it will do more damage. I will have to wait until I get home, but I can try that.

I think it would be easy enough to replace the broken glass, and order a new touch screen. The problem is I don't want to get Samsung or Rogers to replace it, as it would cost a fortune. I've heard of people who have made a living fixing damaged cell phones, iPads, and tablets. Would you recommend anyone who could do it at an affordable price?

I have taken my son's iPhone to iphix.

I did have to take it back for something else, but they stood behind their work.

Buy a screen protector and stick it on your broken screen. As long as everything works it's the cheapest way to go. If you can't find a screen protector made for your phone just get a sheet of clear film and cut it to size. If it's just one crack use scotch tape.

Soak it in bleach for 6 hours. It will fill the crack and hardly be noticeable.
This is the same thing they do at windshield repair shops.

Would definitely try one of the phone repair places, if it's just the glass on the outside. $100 to replace glass is cheaper than a new phone. If you are going to buy a new phone, I'd then go back and see if you can fix it yourself. If you've already given up on the phone, there's no risk in trying to fix it yourself.
