FYI, for those who don't know, these guys are the official distributor for the Flames. this is the best place to go.

I bought a Flames Authentic Away jersey and a Al Macinnis "retro" jersey at Northhill FanAttic a couple of days ago. I felt dirty doing it but you don't get the opportunity to buy jerseys a reasonable price very often.

Was just at the NorthHill store right before closing time tonight and the store has been officially pillaged. Managed to get a 52 or 54 IIRC authentic but most of what is left is either small or x-large as far as jerseys are concerned. Quite a few pre-named Bou's in all sizes, lots of wideman/hulder as well but everything else is gone.
Lady there said that from open to close they had lineup's out the door, so clearly people are cashing in.

And clearly not punishing the league via a fan boycott.

On-street parking is free on Sundays. If it were another day of the week, free parking on the grounds might actually have been worth something.

If it were any other day of the week, it would have been in the evening when the same on-street parking would have been free.
The only time a Flames game doesn't fall when on-street parking is free is when there is a Saturday game that starts at 5:00.

Not sure if there is free parking, and even if there is, by the craziness apparently at the Fan Attic, a place where you can usually count on one hand the people in there at Northhill, the extra 30% or more of cars wanting to take every advantage of any Flames' offer, trying to get in there will render the exercise useless.
Further, it will then infuriate those who think they can leave a couple minutes early and get a spot, and end up late for the game, and for those who are "usual" parkers for either not getting a spot, or again being late as there are a pile more cars coming down... and then you'll also get the same "complain at all costs people because I've been violated by this lockout" contingent complaining that the Flames should then owe them the $6 for taking transit if they've giving $12 parking out for free too.
In the 10 years I've had season tickets, I can count on one hand the times I've bothered with parking in the Stampede grounds...its not the cost, its the inefficiency in, and especially post game, getting out. Literally 5 times...once when -20 back in winter 2002, once when raining in March 2003, once for tailgaiting before Game 3 against Vancouver. Once sometime in 2007 for some reason, and once when we brought our then 6 month old girl to the NYE game in 2009. Parking even just across McLeod makes egress that much better...the time it takes you to walk there, 40% of it inside, and then headed south down Macleod is 30 minutes ahead of those stuck in the lot.
If parking is free, it will be a gong show in and out for a good half hour before and hour after, just as the Fan Attic in the Dome will be, and long lines for those loading up on 50% off pocket dawgs, popcorn and nachos in the concourse, and then of course the bank machine, for those who don't know that the concession don't take debit (and even for those who know they don't) to pay for the concessions.

I'm 95% sure I got an email from the Flames saying parking was free tomorrow.
Oh, and parking is $15 now (it went up after transit fares increased, as it always does).

The wife and I got jerseys and letters for us and the kids yesterday at North Hill. We were still able to get the sizes we wanted (they were is boxes on the floor that I dont think staff could open because the line up paws constant). We got there as they opened and there were only about 2 or 3 people in the store. By the time we left there were about 20 in the store and 10 in line. The girl behind the counter was not handling it well. She should maybe handle a few shifts at the dome location during a game to see what busy is like. Good deal for jersey's though, can't wait untill they're done!

I checked all the boxes on the ground when I got there just after 5PM and everything was just garbage stuffed into the boxes. I also opted for the lettering do you know how long they usually take to get back to you? I had asked the lady behind the counter but she was far too busy to answer.

I dropped my jersey off on Tuesday before class at north hill. The guy who was working said it will take usually 3-4 weeks. Most of the time is sooner but because of how busy it has been expect the 4 weeks. It was so dead there on Tuesday. I went with my girlfriend on Friday to the one at the dome because she wanted to get a jersey for her dad and boy was that a gong show.
