Wow what a weird league, besides having about 60 teams, they have about 20 teams fold a year, and they will give a franchise to anyone that asks whether they can afford it or not.
If your a basketball fan, I don't know how good the game is, but go and see it while you can.

In all seriousness they are actually dominating their division and likely going to host play-offs here in Calgary this season. While the league as a whole does have a lot of teams that fold every year, this team seems to be doing it right with a decent fan-base so far.
If you are a basketball fan you should try and make it out to support your local talent and team that is trying to grow itself into a stable form or sports entertainment for years to come.

I am really surprised at how little media attention this team gets. Very poor marketing effort & if that does not change, I am sure it will be their demise....
I caught a couple of games early on & both playoff games this weekend. SAIT is a poor location, but I guess it works. Not sure about the league itself. The regular season games were a bit of a joke with Calgary consistently winning by 30-40 or more points. The two games this weekend were really good basketball, high tempo, intense defense & some high flying. While obviously not NBA, if you are a basketball fan, it is definitely worth a watch. That said, I did find the $15 ticket price to be a bit excessive.
In a league of approx 80 teams throughout the US, Crush have went undefeated thus far and in beating San Diego twice this weekend, they beat a top 5 team. Simply based on the quality of the team & success, I am surprised that they don't get more attention. None of my buddies who are sports fans, not necessarily basketball fans, have even heard of the team. Whoever is in charge of marketing is really missing the mark!
I also went early on. The announcer was so ridiculous, it's one of the reasons I haven't gone back. I also feel like the rules too badly butcher the game of basketball, but I get what they're trying to do.
