I loved how Caroll called the timeout and then look stunned when the Falcons followed through with the practice attempt. If you don't want him to have a practice kick don't call the last second time out.

Well congrats to the 49ers on their SB appearance.
Hopefully the Texans can win so there is at least one tolerable team in the final 4.

Looking good for another New England Superbowl. I like Belichik's chance of shutting down Kapernick. They made Tebow look like a 3rd stringer last year and he'll scheme out those option plays that the Packers simply didn't prepare for well enough.

I agree. I don't mind calling TO well in advance, but calling it when everyone is on the line just before the snap is giving free practice. Idiotic.

Caroll pressed all the right buttons this season but today he had a bad day.

And as an aside, a big f u to Fed Ex field and cheap Dan Snyder. Knocked out Rg3, Clemons who Seattle could've used today and Haushka, who had an ok or even long shot at kicking 65 at the end there where Longwell couldn't.

What a crazy final two minutes. Both QBs did well.
Pats/Texans game is probably going to be lackluster compare to the others this weekend.

True. A hail mary was unlikely, but a 65yder was 1 in 50

What a hell of a game. I'm really proud of my Hawks this year. The future looks bright we have a young team with what's looking like an incredible QB in Russell Wilson. That last drive by Seattle was executed too well if they just could have ate more time off the clock it might have worked out better for us. Oh well, I guess you have to take the points at what ever cost. Looking forward to next year.

Big jj feature on CBS. Didnt ESPN have a big JJ Watt circle jerk before the last Pats-Texans game?? You'd think Watt would want to go incognito this time... or is he required to do spots?

Carroll has some questions to answer, about that sequence and about the first half debacles. Gonzalez was the x factor who killed Seattle on the last catch but third downs all game.
Even after all it was right there for the biggest comeback in 55 years in the playoffs.

Yeah, who needs exciting players anyway? Give me a game manager at QB and a power running game everyday.

I'm not sure you can blame Carroll for the end of the first half. Wilson has to know he can't get sacked at that point.

I thought Wilson handled it well. They blitzed him for the sack which can happen to any QB if your line isn't on top of things, but he got everyone on the line (kind of) and snapped very quickly after. Just not enough time left.

I am so unbelievably happy right now!
My heart has beating out my chest for the last half hour. I can't believe Atlanta pulled it off. I'm so ridiculously ecstatic and proud of Gonzalez. He deserved that win.
Bring on the 49ers!
(I still don't have complete faith in Ryan, but we'll see)

If that was called a fumble instead of a Lynch TD, the ball could not have been advanced as it was by Unger, and it would be on the one yd line with the clock still running and assuming Seattle scores next play, there would be not a lot of time left.
