lol. I am so glad that idiotic tactic of "freezing" the kicker was a big factor. The most idiotic thing in the NFL that needs to be stopped.

Falcons easily one of the worst teams to ever get to the NFC title game. The 49ers can make their hotel arrangements to New Orleans.

They really should have kicked two FG's on those possessions in the first half where they came away with nothing. Fans always hate it when coaches don't go for it but there's a reason that over time taking the points is the best way to go.

Legatron could do it. Even Billy Cundiff who could have been had, has that range. Either way, horrid play calling in the first half killed them.

Wilson did his part in the 2nd half. Unreal and clutch.
It was way too easy for Atlanta to get back into field goal position with 30 seconds left. Never understood that conservative defence in those situations.

F me. F me,
Go 9ers. Won't be close. Hate to say that as a Seahwks fan.
Caroll and Wilson have to take blame for bortchingup the first half and getting no points when even one fg on those three missed chances have Seattle going to SF.
F me.
Falcons are ####e.

has icing the kicker EVER worked? time and again i see it bite coaches in the ass, but they insist on doing it. i just don't understand why they do it, all it does is give the kicker a free try to dial in the range or at the very least more time to mentally prepare
just stop doing it, there's no benefit

I was thinking that the Raiders wouldn't have though twice about trotting out Janikowski in the dome to make that attempt but there is only a very small handful of kickers that have the leg to attempt that kick.

I only recall it kind of working for Schwartz a few weeks ago when the opposing team kicker missed both attempts. It was 50+ though and missing on both was conceivable.

Gonzalez deserves at least one playoff win in his career, Wilson wil have chances in the future. Still a tough loss for the Seahawks.
