I had the nasal spray version, my whole family as well (including kids). It took a minute from start to finish, yet they want you to stay for 15 minutes after.
This was done at a random clinic.

I know kids are afraid of needles, and who really likes them, so it's good to have have the nasal spray option. I have to say though, I received the flu shot through needle form this year, and it hurt a lot less than the H1N1 vaccine did. I had no achy arm or anything... didn't feel it at all actually (I swear, I didn't even realize they had given me the shot). I also had my tetanus booster at the same visit in the other arm, and that one killed - it felt like a bee sting.
I did get a rash on my chest after the vaccine though. It didn't itch or anything, but it is one of the more common side effects.

They want you to stick around for signs of autism or anaphylaxis, I can never remember which.

Knew this would happen when they started putting those purell things in every store/building. Probably just a regular cold but everyone's immune system is meek and submissive.

Lucky to not have contact with the viruses? Probably.
Lucky to not have your body develop natural immunities from lack of exposure? Probably not.

We get them every year, plus my daughter has gotten the pneumococcal vaccine. So far we've escaped the worst of it. We're being pretty careful though, because of my daughter's auto-immune issues and her meds being an immuno-suppressant. We aren't going very far these days, and avoiding anyone with even the sniffles, as much as possible. Also avoiding anyone with any signs/symptoms of gastroenteritis - we had a minor version of that - got lucky and avoided the worst of the filthy-mcnasty. Hoping we avoid the rest of it too, knock wood.

Day 4: The coughing is so bad you can't breathe. I had to go get a puffer earlier this morning.
I chose the satin lining for my coffin.

I just popped over to the pharmacy next door when my wife doing her appointment at the maternity clinic (the one by Riley Park). Took about 5 minutes. I did it about a month ago though.

Seems to work for me so I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing, which is nothing.

Safeway pharmacy was doing them but you had to call ahead to make an appointment.

In addition the nasal version is apparently more effective. The downside is that it is a live virus, so there is a chance you'll feel crappy after getting it.

Shopper's Drug Mart has been offering them as well, but I'd call ahead and find out if they still are.

Ever since I got swine flu a few years ago I seem immune to the lesser seasonal flu. I've been around sick people for a week and I still have no symptoms.

The only time I have ever had the flu was the year I got the flu shot. Never had the shot for any bird, swine, dog or cat flu and I'm still kicking.
