Robbed of a player
K so wtf I just got robbed of pk subban. After I offered him a big offer more than what he asked but yet Florida signs him away from me. I'm pissed and that's total bull####. Something is wrong with this f***ing game.

Yeah man there are definitely some bugs. In my first round of signings I offered Burrows exactly what he wanted twice and still came up short. Although I guess maybe you could chalk it up to "the guy just wanted to play somewhere else"? I don't know how that works.
Is FLA a computer player right now?
I have no idea who I ended up signing, if anyone wants to let me know.
If you need a replacement offensive D hit me up as I'm still interested in Ward.

I tried signing 4 players all for more then the asking price and got none I read in the help tho that the money doesn't alway matter...supposedly players base it on the team and the location and chances of making the playoffs just like real life...sigh but really guys Columbus is an awesome place!!!

Totally sucks but pretty sure players don't always accept what the listed offer says. According to EA, the players somehow look at the team makeup, performance, and where they would fit in to make the decision to sign or not. I offered a few of the guys I lost deals almost exactly like what was asked and had them not re-sign too.
Edit: What she said above....

I don't know how I lost enroth either. He wasnt on my free agents list at all. So now I don't have a back up goalie at all. And I lost my best defensmen for nothing in return. Total bull. Just lost all interest in this game today.

Free agency works like this in the real NHL too, can't always re-sign or trade your players before they hit the open market. I traded Pavelski and a pick for Getzlaf only to see him walk away from my offer and sign with my rival Tampa Bay...not to mention I also lost my 2nd pairing of D, White and Gunnarsson, who I traded for last season.

^^^ Goalies dont show up under the main list, you have to scroll over to see them.
That said, I saw my goalie was signed and double checked to see I have 2 50 ranked goalies.
Players in real life dont always sign back with the same team.... consider it a realistic but unfortunate for some aspect of the game.
PS, I had PK for half a season last year and there is no way I would pay that money to have him back.

Guess ill just take my lumps as unfair as it was and just make some signings to make up for the player I got stolen from me. Damn you Florida and NHL 13. There is now a Florida-Ottawa rivalry. Lol

The annoying thing isn't so much when another team signs one of your UFA's, it's that the game won't let you qualify the RFA and he goes UFA. At least if Florida had offer-sheeted Subban, OTT would've gotten a couple picks for him.

I had the ability to qualify my RFA's. Was Subban just a UFA right off the bat?

Not sure if this is what happened, but I qualified a guy and it worked, but on another guy, it wouldn't let me and said that I was out of cap space. At the time I had about $15 mil in cap space. So instead I just offered him a multi-year deal, which it let me do. I think others have had this problem. Even if you weren't going to sign a guy of course you qualify him so that others can offer sheet him and you get their picks.

Subban was suppose to be RFA. Didn't see an offer sheet for subban at all. He just went straight to UFA. :S

I had the same problem with Evander Kane. Sucks to loose high end talent for nothing.
