Default Play it Again Sports

Has anyone sold stuff to play it again sports recently? I have approximately two dozen adult composite sticks and a bag full of random hockey gear I wouldn't mind getting rid of...any ball park on what to expect? Obviously going to be somewhat low balled...but is price negotiable? Thanks.

Price is always negotioable. These guys are essentially pawn shops. The question is how much effort do you want to put in to get an extra $5-10. If you're selling many items, it may be worth it to haggle a bit. One thing I'd recommend is definitely walk around the store and see what his current inventory is like.

The #1 bargaining (AKA BSing) tactic he will probably use is....

"equipment in size X is pretty common, I've got tons of inventory...so I'll offer you this BS price"

Either that or:

"equipment in size X is not very popular. Very few people want size X...so I'll offer you this BS price."

on that note, go scout the store before you drag your gear in. try to get an idea of their inventory, it may give you leverage if you have what they need.

To be fair, I thought about doing that. But i'm not meeting random people 24 times for a stick for $40-50. Don't have the time and would rather get rid of it in one haul.

Thanks guys. I acquired the sticks mostly over the past 7 years by convincing myself that buying a new stick every couple months would help my game. It probably didn't. But now I have a bunch of sticks that I've tried and either didn't like and are now sitting in my garage.

Yeah went to the shawville one...and spoke with the guy who seemed high on life and other things and they don't take used sticks. And then he offered me $18 for the rest of my gear.

So that means you are now open to offers on the sticks?

So you're saying you'd like to sell a bundle of sticks?

How much for the ######?

personally i don't think play it again is the right place to sell used sticks.

why buy a used twig for $40 or $50 - when i could go to stcik fix and buy a repaired pro model stick for $100
