In Saskatoon, but yes I have also battled some rounds with a bug or two this winter.
We had a bad batch of norwalk go through the city a few times now, different pockets of friends/family have been hit with it. So far I have managed to avoid it... but I get that feeling its always watching me.. waiting.

I got it during my undergrad days and I can say that there is nothing quite like explosive diarrhea and being violently ill into a bucket at the same time..

I just got over it myself, freakin KO'd me. I don't get sick very often at all so when I do, they are usually doozies. Coughed my freakin head off, felt lag a bag of crap all day. Slept poorly at night. No apetite to speak of until I was getting over it and turned into a eating machine.
I feel bad for anyone that comes down with this one. That being said, I THINK they predicted this years flu strain properly so I'd recommend flu shots all around.

what are your symptoms?
i got hit in early november with a sore throat/fever/no energy for a couple days, followed by a hacking cough that lasted about 6 weeks.
over christmas my wife decided to share her cold with me... energy wise i was ok, but i'm still fairly congested and considering buying shares in kleenex! what does my body need to produce mucus, 'cuz i'd like to abstain from it for it for a bit!!

Every legal assistant in my office has had it in rolling shifts over the past couple of weeks at least twice. I seem to be immune so far. Probably because I hide in my office...

I am having the old hot pee out the bung hole, gassy/bloated stomach, violent vomitting, nagging headache and really stiff and sore joints and muscles.

You got the norwalk. Its severe.
Read above... how long have you had your symptoms? They usually last 24-48 hours, it is important to disenfect the crap out of everything after. This flu is highly contagious. Avoid contact with anyone until you are symptom free for 36+ hours.

I got it just in time for my holidays. Took two weeks to get better and I'm still not quite over it. It wasn't the worst flu I've had in terms of intensity, but it's definitely been the longest.

Between my wife and I, and my two kids, we haven't all been at 100% since the very start of November. Other families that are friends of ours have been similar. It seems like there's a lot going around this year.

That was basically me word for word except the barfing. Managed to avoid that part.
Tylenol Cold/Flu (the warming sensation one) seemed to be the best for taking the edge off the cough.

My assistant has been down with it since late last week, a bunch of people in my office have been slaughtered by it. If find it funny that she's a healthy eating work out everyday person and she gets killed by it, meanwhile I'm drinking pepsi and eating chips between smokes and I don't get it.

Just fighting it off now. Hit me on Friday, after already getting over it last month prior to holidays.
I really need to get back to working out.

I am finally on the mend after 3 straight weeks of fatigue, sore throat, coughing, head pressure, and nasal congestion. It was the worst. Terrible way to spend 2 weeks of holidays.

I got the one strain that was just the crazy fever (40C), chills, no appetite, and zero energy. It lasted for a few days but my energy was zapped for a few after that. I now have a cough that seems quite deep. Might need to watch for pnemonia.

Mrs. Puppet is just getting over it, and the two young puppets each have a touch of it, so home hasn't been a lot of fun since Friday. I have an immune system like a brick wall and feel fine, but there's the consant fear that I'm gonna get it.

Had that late November lasted 4 days.
One of the worst flu I ever had. Food won't even taste good for a week after you feel better.
I knew I was in for a bad one when the first vomit was a chocolate chip muffin and I dry heaved till the last chip dripped from my lip as my face, exhausted, had finally rested on the edge of the bowl.
I got so sick of the projectile vomitting until you dry heave, that I drank gingerale just to have something to bring up.
My wife and I got it along with my co workers and friends.
