Laurent Brossoit had a 45 save shutout to lead the Oil Kings to a 4-0 win. He was named the games 1st star.

Thanks " MISS TEEKS" for the Ramo update. I had not heard much about him for a while. Months ago i remember reading that Omsk was considering offering Ramo a huge contract to stay in the KHL. I am not totaly sure what the amount was but i thought it was close to $6 million a year. Any news on that?

Thanks to MissTeeks for also showing some love to the part of the forum where hockey talk is tolerable.

Kulak had a goal, an assist, and the SO winner tonight.

Elson had a goal and an assist.

Culkin picked up an assist.

Don't forget Bill Arnold who picked up BC's first goal of the game. That was his eighth of the season.

Brett Kulak had 3 points in 5-4 loss to the Hitmen today ... the Flames twitter says 2 goals and 1 assist, the WHL website says it's the other way round. In either case, Kulak has passed his points totals (25 in 41 games) of last year (24 in 72 games). He is doing fine personally ... too bad the Giants are a horrible team.

Turner Elson has the only Rebels goal so far. Michael Ferland isn't playing for some reason.

Ferland goes from being scratched in the AHL ---> ECHL ----> WHL.

He certainly has to be wondering why he can't get any playing time this year. Unfortunate circumstances for him personally.

Was at the game sec 108 row 2:

Kulak got 2 goals 1 assist and was 2nd star (although the Shriners were giving an award out, so Brassard received 1st star). The Giants definitely do suck, but Kulak is a great player, best today IMHO.

Was his 2nd goal tipped in (assist)? I was about 12 feet away and it didn't appear that way.

Kulak was excellent against the Hitmen. I thought he was injured in the first, he looked awkward skating to the bench, but kept playing, then was out for the second, then comes back in the third and pretty much singlehandedly tied the game up. He was very, very good at both ends of the ice.

Agreed, a stood out on a team without a lot of really good players.

Allowed fewer goals in two games last week than either Subban or Binnington did in the bronze medal game on 25 combined shots.

Maybe getting cut was the kick in the pants he needed.
