Problem is now, what can you trade Gasol for? The Raptors right now probably have no interest in a Gasol for Bargnani/Calderon trade, not when they can probably get a better deal. Gasol's lackluster and disinterested play makes him tough to move for a good return, and trading him just to trade him seems like a waste of an asset. Gasol probably won't be moved until closer to the deadline, if at all.

If you are Gasol with the way you have been treated by the Lakers organization would you have a ton of motivation to go all out for this team?

Add in playing with the most selfish player of all time and a roster of crap I think it is easy to see why he isn't playing great.

The Lakers defense allowed the Nuggets 101 shots...I mean I don't know if I've ever seen a team allow 100 shots in a regulation game. Playoffs are legitamately in doubt right now. Unreal how bad they are.

Don't think Pau fits in at all. They have him out there shooting 3's which is not is game at all. He needs to be in the post and with Dantoni that will not happen. Bargnani is much more suited for that offence with his ability to shoot 3's. If I were them I'd be going all out for Calderon and Bargnani. Maybe a 3 way deal with Minny and the Raps with the Raps getting players from Minny.

As much as I would love that from a Raptors perspective, I think the player that makes the most sense for Lakers is Ilyasova. He runs the floor better than Bargnani and has been shooting well over the last couple months. (As with Toronto, a 3-way trade with Minnesota makes more sense than a 2-way trade.)

I think he'd be perfect though. Bargs rebounding won't matter, because you have Dwight owning the boards. His game is simple and predictable too, he'll either shoot or drive. Which would be Steve Nash's ideal big man. Anyways the Lakers need a stretch 4 and their are a lot of reports stating that Bargs is the one that is available.

Kobe and Dwight making light if that bogus report on twitter.

Everyone has debunked it. Just a bunch of BS from east coast media that have no clue what's going on.

Both Pau and Howard are out. You have to wonder if they'll even make the playoffs at this point.

How much do you think Mike Brown and Phil Jackson are laughing their asses off right now? This is literally the 2011 Eagles reincarnated, the "Dream Team" that never was.

My question about the Lakers: are they the most underperforming sports team ever? I can't think of a single team in pro sports what was ever that stacked that have crashed so badly.

I don't think so only because I think the hype of the team was way over the top. Many of the problems they have are issues that were raised before the season.

Even with the hype most of the experts called other teams the favorites before the season.

The hiring of D'Antonio is looking really puzzling right now. Lakers couldn't wait a weekend for Phil to get back to them so they hired D'Antonio? That was after pulling a stun to land Howard for a Bynum that ended up not playing this year.

I don't think it was waiting a weekend I think it was Buss Jr. and Kupchak not wanting someone to come in and steal the spotlight from them.

Plus Phil probably saw the major issues this team had and wanted a mint to come back and possibly ruin his legacy with this lackluster team.

Has no one been paying attention to the altercation between Anthony and the Knicks and Garnett and the Celtics tonight?

Well after going at it on the court all night long, Anthony tried to get at Garnett in the locker room after the game (he had to be restrained).

Then to follow that up Anthony tried again to get at KG by waiting by the Celtics team bus. I have never seen anyone in professional sports actually follow through with that threat, so I give Carmelo some props for at least manning up and pulling off the stupid stunt.

Boston is such an irrelevant team that I haven't paid attention to them much at all this year but it doesn't surprise me that fake gangster Anthony and fake tough guy Garnett got into it.
