He voluntarily ran it into his own endzone so that would be a 2 point safety. Not sure if that (likely it would) changes because of the play occurring on a convert try.
If I had to guess I'd probably say zero

This is what the CFL Rule Book says:
Quote:
If Team B legally gains possession during an unsuccessful convert attempt (i.e. interception of forward pass, recovery of fumble or blocked kick), it may score two points by advancing the ball across Team A’s Goal Line. If the play terminates with Team B in possession in its own Goal Area or in the Field of Play, there shall be no score.
If the play terminates with Team A legally in possession in Team B’s Goal Area, Team A shall be awarded two points if the ball had been carried or passed across the line of scrimmage, but no points if the ball had been kicked across the line of scrimmage.
|
It doesn't specifically address this situation, but it seems like it would be zero points.

Football is crazy with how many rules there are. We rag on the refs a lot, but they have a lot to know. There are so many weird plays that can happen that they have to call, it's amazing.

On NFL countdown this morning they were talking about Marc Trestman and NFL possibilities. Apparently the Colts GM has endorsed him as a very capable coach

He was rumored last year to interview for the Indy job, and a few years back, for the Raiders job. Only a matter of time, though I am guessing most NFL teams would want to see him in a coordinator job first.

I'm not sure Trestman would go back to her NFL to be a coordinator again. Hasn't he turned down offers to stay in Montreal in the past?
His departure would be a loss for the CFL but it's also great to see the league beginning to gain some traction as a competent league

Even worse for #Alouettes fans, Trestman is one of two finalists for the #Bears job. Bevell of #Seahawks the other finalist. #CFL

Awful. Rivermen is still the best name that I've heard come up in discussion.
I do hope Ottawa goes with red and black as their colours as that should (hopefully) force Calgary to ditch the black and go back to red and white

I think something like Lumberjacks or Loggers would be a good football name.

Marwan Hage re-signs with Hamilton and the Ti-Cats also released QB Quinton Porter
Dave Naylor also reporting that the Eskimos have re-signed DE Marcus Howard. Good signing for Edmonton
