The money offer might help her mother's creditors but leave her mother in the same living conditions. At the end of the day this is all conjecture.

I don't view women as sex objects either, in fact I might (have been) be more likely to want to pursue something past sex than a few girls I have slept with. But I really think prostitution should be legal. I think it's sad when young girls get involved, and I would hope I would instill better values and desires in any girl I ever raise, but I really don't see why it's a crime.
It's most likely a hanger on from more heavily religious times. The moral trappings and hypocrisies that surround the issue are astounding. Not to mention that legalizing it can make it a little safer for those involved.
As far as virginity, I agree there is way too much emphasis put on it, and I think any man that desires it so much is completely stupid. Again though, usually comes from religious/cultural misgivings.

Ah but that is the issue. It is fine as long as it's not your daughter or girlfriend/wife.
It is a difficult subject to be sure.

Because the TV station's offer didn't include a dick in her butt.
Talked to a source close to her side, and that is a hill she is willing to die on.

I wouldn't want my daughter to be a trash collector or MicDicks lifer either. It's more about wanting her to have a happy safe life, than backwards notions on how the world works.
Agreed, it would affect me on a more personal emotional level than just that, but still, I think we need to be honest about what goes on in the world and how we can live with it and make it better, instead of just shutting it out or turning a blind eye to it (which is basically what prohibition of any sort does).
There is probably even a very small portion of the workers who do actually enjoy it. I agree, that it's probably low, and there are probably many that say they do, just to convince themselves, but I'm sure there are some upscale ladies who really enjoy it, or at least believe it was the best way to achieve their goals. (Rather than getting an education and working your way up through the system).
Lastly, as you mentioned, it's her body. I don't know why we limit freedoms over people's own bodies. An argument that is equally valid for things like illegal drugs.

What I don't understand is this:
Consensual sex for money is illegal...unless you film the act and sell the video to make a profit, then it's totally ok.

Bet over half the girls look back and wish they had 35,000 for their first time instead of 4 empty wine cooler bottles and rug burn

Not in Canada it isn't. The illegal part is public solicitation.
The more you know...

Sure there are workers that enjoy it. Its probably a heck of a lot better then many jobs when you think about it. I'm sure there are some that don't enjoy it solely because of how they are viewed in society because of it.
Look at that former Olympian Susy Hamilton that just got busted for being a prostitute. She wasn't doing it because she was desperate for money.

Funny since the woman in this case is treating the male as a sex for money object and tossing him aside when she's done. I'm sure the guy would be more than willing to continue to plow her.
