Default RFA (vote)

Should we be allowed to make offers to CPU teams RFA's?

I will tally the votes here and on TextPlus and when that period comes up the total at that time will be the rule.

I vote yes.

Actually, I change my vote, The CPU teams will take into account the draft picks that are mostly useless seeing as this league will only last one more season after this one.

That being said, feel free to attempt to poach RFA's from other players. Other players can make an informed decision, and they are in cap trouble, can try to work out a trade.

I vote no on CPU RFA offers. Is there a place to see what RFAs are available for each team? I can't think of it off the top of my head but want to be ready so I can perhaps make a few tonight when I do my re-sign.

Not right now fully anyway, you can see who is potentially an RFA, but the GM could sign them proir to the RFA period.

I think it will be it's own seperate advance, which is why I will be doing advances every day as I suspct that the UFA period will be quite the process too.

I'm not opposed if there are rules around how an offer can be structured. I think there should be a limit on the years offered (perhaps 3). If this is too difficult to organize then I would vote no.

I also vote no. Simply based on the longevity of the future of the league

why would year limit matter? from what it seems players want a certain length and if you are offering any other lengths it costs more per year to sign them?

or less, I signed Iginla to an 8 year extension as his price kept dropping.

If you offer a guy and 8 year deal, the other team may be more inclined to take the draft picks package.

well thing is iggy is old so he would want a longer contract if possible. when i was signing younger RFA-eligible players like OEL/Demers, adding more years raised the cost per year
