Here are my thoughts. I am sorry that Iniggywetrust that I have not done anything to convince you to vote for me. I am not campaigning, I am just saying I will step up and do the job. I seem to have time on my hands these days, though I woud need someone to be my deputy commish anyway as I can be away for work at any time for 3 weeks at a time.
If possible, I plan to keep the league as status quo as possible.
I am fine leaving the CPU where it is. I don't want it harder, especially since there will be likely more games against the CPU than we had in the past, and as good as some claim to be against the CPU, there are many who still have a tough time as currently set. I also don't want it easier, for obvious reasons.
If the numbers dwindle, I would suggest that we all move to one conference, or if we have 20 or so GM's I would suggest that we fill two divisions on each side.
I would not endorse trading with the AI GM's. Although one way around that would be to put a trade proposal to a league-wide vote first.
If time is the main problem that people are having, we can move the advance to 4 or 5 days, or we can do two weeks at a time per one week of real time.
Another solution is that we have a hybrid league. Games are simmed against computer teams, no matter what. That would allow for GM's to play more as less time would be spent playing against the computer. It would also require you to get good depth as it would increase injuries.
Or if we find that the numbers dwindle and it becomes a hybrid league as outlined above, maybe we find that we can speed the league up.
Another solution is to disolve this league and start a new hybrid league. I am open to anything. I am also fine with anyone else being the commissioner. I enjoy playing against you guys, even when I get destroyed.
