Just a thought.

This might not be the time/place for this discussion, but I'd be willing to pay a fee in exchange for a non-ad-supported version of the site. Perhaps there's a way to disable ads completely on a per-user basis? That way it's optional, people can subscribe for disabled ads or use the free ad-supported version.
I realize ad-blockers exist (I use them too), but there are ways of detecting their use and forcing people to disable them in order to use this site.

Just curious because I've seen warnings on a couple different forums today that normally I don't.
|
It's 3rd party software but we run it on our servers, there must have been an exploit identified recently.

You will because the warning is a browser level thing getting info from Google or that other service, until we ask Google to review the site it won't change.

Traffic was already slow (I'd imagine) because of the Holidays, hopefully this doesn't push too many people away.

Google's webmaster tools shows no malware warnings now, and I don't get the warning in Chrome or Firefox anymore, what browsers?

Not sure exactly how it works with browsers with them showing the warning and not showing it, the report says it hasn't found anything bad since Dec 28, and Google Webmaster shows clean, so the only thing is to wait to see if Firefox eventually switches.
