*shrug* What can you do? Dvorak, Nilson, Eaton, Rucinsky, and Perrault all on the IR doesn't help the situation. I guess you better get out the brooms. I wanted to at least win a game.

STU BARNES PROPELS JETS!!

JETS 4 WILD 3~JETS LEAD SERIES 2-1!

Winnipeg-The Minnesota Wild may have more talent then the Jets but the Wild are quickly finding out that the Jets mean business and will give everything they have in each game of this series. The Jets took the lead in the series in large part thanks to Stu Barnes who had a goal and an assist in the game tonight.

"Every night its someone different to lead the attack" said Barnes. First game was Pierre (Turgeon), last game was Petr (Cajanek) and tonight it was my turn".

The Jets opened the scoring on nifty tip in by Chris Gratton. Gratton tipped the puck over the glove of Dominator after Sandis Ozolinsh snapped a quick wrist shot from the point. The Wild would take a 2-1 before the end of the first period. However the 2nd period belonged to the Winnipeg Jets. The Jets scored 3 goals in 5:22, to take a 4-2 lead in the final period. The goals came from Barnes, York, and Petr Cajanek.

The Wild cut the lead down to 1 when Dan McGillis fired a rocket through the five hole on Nik Khabibulin. Khabby was perfect from that point on and the Jets held on to win 4-3.

Johan Hedburg getting the nod in net fails to get the job done. Mike Dunham who was suppose to get the night off to rest and get back to 100% ended up playing a period anyways. Simon Gagne who has been invisible for about a month now was again blanked on the score board. Todd Bertuzzie with 4 points including a hat trick and Bleanger and Kappenen with three points apiece. The team will now regroup and prey that Dunham can get back his health. (why do goalies in this Sim get tired in the playoffs. Throw me a frickin bone here!)

Have the Ducks really been shutout three games in a row. Lets hope the real Kipper plays like this as well.

Wild Play Like Poop!

The Minny Wild just can't figure out the Jets of Winnipeg.

With a loss in game 3 of their best of 7 first rounder series the Wild's record against Winnipeg drops to 1-4 on the year with the lone win coming via OT.

After the game GM Farhall refused to meet with the media but team captain Dan McGillis did comment.

"They are a confident, veteran group over there right now. In contrast we can't seem to figure out much of anything right now. We are playing like poop. Poop I tells ya!"

Preds Finally Explode For Goals
Not happy with the amount for goals in the first 2 games, GM Schum kept tinkering with the linup to find the right match.

-Yashin/Knuble got it going, both scoring 3 points.
-Zetterberg's failed to register a point, ending his modest 2-game scoring streak.
-Elias is a concern right now, only one point in ther series so far.
-The defensive effort was appreciated by the GM, the team was missing 2 of the top 6 and the number dman.
-Dipietro couldn't get the job done this time, getting pulled.
-Gerber came in made 10 saves for the win.
-PREDS LEAD ALL TEAMS WITH 93 PENALTY MINUTES. 31 PIM per game. The second team is the Sens at 21 PIM per game. Wings sit for 10 mins in the sin bin per game
-PREDS WERE THE FIRST TEAM TO HIT THE CENTURY MARK FOR HITS, despite missing hard-hitting Chara and Cairns.
-Mikko Kelteva was given the Fang Player of the game, as voted by the Preds players. The rookie dman came in and played 16 mins, goin plus 2 and throwing a hit.

PREDS HAVE ASKED THE LEAGUE TO MOVE ALL GAMES TO MUSIC CITY, CONSIDERING ONLY 19 POPLE SHOWED UP IN DETROIT, NO LONGER THE HOCKEY TOWN USA BECAUSE OF THE HORRENDOUS TEAM.

-The Preds announced lines for game 4, Elias will be demoted to 2nd line.
-Sullivan will be moving up to the top line.
-Peca will be back to checking duties, Smolinski moving to first line.
-Gerber will start in place of Diepetro.
-HOPEFULLY CHARA IS BACK, AT SOME SOURCES HES BEEN ACTIVATED, HOPEFULLY ROTOWORLD ACTIVATES HIM TOO.

Game 4 in Crap town on wednesday.

Ducks run scared???

Flames 1 Ducks 0

Kipper steals the show.
It just goes to show what stellar goaltending can do for you in the playoffs. Flames were badly outshot in this game 30-18 but yet managed to keep the Quacks at bay.
This game puts the Ducks down 3-0 in the series. In other words, the Ducks can ill afford to lose another game or its golfing time. Flames on the other hand are looking to make Peking Duck out of the Anaheim squad and get this series wrapped up on Wednesday. The ole Flames squad could surely use the rest.

Goalie Statistics

Miikka Kiprusoff (FLA), 30 saves out of 30 shots, W, 3-0-0
Roberto Luongo (DUC), 17 saves out of 18 shots, L, 0-2-0

Power Play Conversions
FLAMES 0 for 3
DUCKS 0 for 2

Game Stars 1 - Miikka Kiprusoff (FLA)
2 - Adam Foote (FLA)
3 - Kimmo Timonen (FLA)
