I think it had more to do with the wife saying its either her or me. In that situation, apparently, an employer does have the right to take an action to preserve the marriage.
It seems a decision rife for abuse.
Also, the employer was dumb for not throwing more money at this to send her away happier.
Look for the ACLU showing up with tongue hanging on the floor wanting to take this one on. It's something that should be challenged harder.

And this will just keep happening with this dingdong. You ever had a male dental hygienist? I believe he generally only hires women. This is going to be a regular occurrence with him, unless he demands they all wear burqas or something. And even with that, he'd probably say their eyes gave him a hard on so they have to go now...

It's hard to comment on US labour laws, if they exist, but it seems she challenged the firing on the wrong basis. Isn't wrongful termination enough? She should have sued him for sexual harassment at the very onset of his comments.

I agree... Im sure there will be a lawsuit for the harassment as well... Although her comment about the pants being tight might nullify that but who knows with the way rulings go here.

If only I could legitimately claim that I have been let go by an employer for being too irresistible... But I am sure once the sense of flattery faded, and the dread of being unemployed set in, I would be pretty upset.

I liked his line said that if he didn't fire her he would end up sleeping with her. Like she had no say in the matter.
