In addition to people not knowing how to drive in traffic circles....

Another peeve of mine is the people who walk around town, the mall, riding the train, sitting in restaurants, etc looking like they are part bionic with these cellphones attached to their ear. Do they realize how ridiculous they look? Half of the time I think they are talking to themselves because I can't see it on their ear.

Yeah, I have never been a fan of cell phones. I think people are too preoccupied with them. I hate when you are with someone and they take the time to answer the phone and then have a conversation right in front of you. I hate that. It's so rude.

I still say they should give homeless people Bluetooth headsets. Then when they walk around talking to themselves, it just looks like they are on the phone.

A woman and her son in Ont. just died on the weekend when her SUV went off the road into a canal and they drown. An old road not designed for current traffic, poor roads, and talking on the cell phone all contributed to the tragedy.

Ahhh... I find some of this so amusing. A few short months ago, alot of these things ****ed me off too.

Now, I live in a city with bluetooth wearing, lane-splitting motorcycle drivers that act like they own traffic circles. And I couldn't care less.

Funny how the little things tend to change.

Wanna talk pet peeves? Try having a guy follow you for a block trying to sell you a rose, just because you're walking with a woman. Or an umbrella because there is a cloud in the sky. A noise making, bubble shooting gun for the kid that you're neither walking with, or even have? Sunglasses? A hat? Roasted chestnuts?

My truck box is NOT a trash bin!

Sick of finding mcdonalds bags and other garbage in there whenever I come out of a store.

OK, I have a new one. People with huge individual orders scribbled on a piece of napkin at fastfood & coffee shops.

This is for the two muppets that were holding up the line at Timmy's this morning and ordering, I kid you not, $30+ worth of individual coffees. Here's a hint - if you have to buy 4 1/2 trays worth of coffees, perhaps your company should invest in 21st century invention called a coffee maker.

I should have tripped him while he was trying to get that balancing act out the door.

It's gotta be the Roll Up The Rim contest. Since that started, the line-ups have been crazy at the Tim's.

Kids with roller shoes, people walking slow in hallways, peoples ordering techniques at Tim Hortons?

I hope this stuff doesn't really bother you guys too much. If it does you need to stop sweating the small stuff.

I jst re-read the griping about lane splitting motorcycles and laughed about the 'respect the rules' comment. You gotta be kidding. That's why people should be buying bikes. It eases congestion and puts you at the front. Seriously, take a trip to Mexico or Europe and have a look into the future. When populations boom, and people still need to get to work, roads geat real full, real fast. Motorcycles and scooters reduce emissions and give their operators the advantage of getting there quicker.

For those of you that don't know how to operate a mirror before switching lanes, all it takes is a glance. A little practice and you'll be able to switch lanes without killing bikers.

Those of you that think that roads in Calgary need a "special" lane for bikes aren't thinking 4th dimensionally. The extra lanes DO, in fact, exist. They are located between the big lanes for cars and trucks. They are marked by dotted white lines.

Boy, some of you guys wouldn't last a day outside of your rule infested lives.

Wise advice indeed. We won't solve any of our problems until we adopt Mexican-style infrastructure and look to the capitals of Europe to ease our traffic congestion problems.

Good one, Rouge. But I'm serious. I tell you that lane splitting motorcycles keep thousands of cars off the road and keeps the traffic line ups much shorter.

I'm not saying "quit paving the roads, and don't enforce traffic lights".

This has to be ressurected because I have a pet peeve and it's known as "Sears".

It must be the most hopeless operation in recorded history. I want a simple part for an appliance and it has taken a week to even find out if they have the proper part. I've got the part number, the serial number, the model number, the goddamn instruction manual that says "you need to buy Part XXXXXX" and I still don't know if they have the part. I first contacted them last Monday about this and it took me more than an hour on the phone to even get someone to look. Their "parts department" in Calgary doesn't have a telephone. Literally, the fool at the call center in Saskatchewan said "they don't have a phone there".

Hoping for a miracle I phoned the manufacturer and that lackey said "I can't tell you anything because we have a contract with Sears and they do the service because they are a service oriented company". I just about choked.

As an aside, hair really does come out in clumps when you pull it.

Rouge, what brand of appliance is it?

If it's Kenmore, odds are it was built by Whirlpool; which also goes under the name Inglis here in Canada.

If it's GE, they are made by Camco, and Camco has a huge parts warehouse around Centre st and 58th ave S.

It's an Inglis, and I called the Whirlpool/Inglis service center in Missisauga to get the "we can't give you any information because it's Sears". I called them back again and listened to the stupid phone system and it mentioned Credit and Returns, just to get an idea of how I might return this piece of crap if possible, so I pushed the requested buttons to get to that department and the cheery voice said "thank you for calling, but this department is closed", and then it hung up on me, so that made me happier.

It's mindbuggering. Here I am trying to actually spend money and they are making it impossible. I guess they don't want it, which is good for them, because they sure as hell aren't getting any more, ever, after this fiasco is straightened out.

Women when you're trying to watch something...

I hate to make a blanket generalization but it's true. They cannot stop talking or asking stupid questions. At the movie theater they whisper constantly and then give you "the glare" if you ask them to be quiet. If you're watching a movie that both of you have not seen, "Who's that?" "Why did he do that?" SHUT THE **** UP!!! I'M WATCHING THE SAME GOD DAMN **** AS YOU!!!

Women watching sporting events on TV take the cake though. I was watching the Flames game with two girls a little while ago, they nattered constantly through the play but as soon as the action stopped for a replay or commercial they stopped talking, only to start again when the game came back on.

Now I'm not saying women are the only ones that do this but at least with dudes you can tell them to be quiet and they will without looking like they're about to summon the dark lord.

Your thing is just gross incompentence mine is a billion dollar company stealing.

Oh the price I pay in blood pressure to watch the Flames.

Haha, Rogers is no different with our cell phone plan. We have had the damn plan for a year in a half and we still have to call every month cause there is something wrong with the way they bill us.
