wow. i have to hand it to the blue jays. I didn't think it was possible for me to read a thread about baseball that was 22 pages long.
Haven't really kept up with the Jays but do they have the worst DH's in the AL in Adam Lind? Can't they find someone better than him?

Isn't he the first baseman? if he DHs Lind will still be in the lineup at first.

A follow up to the tweet posted by jschick.
Bruce Arthur @bruce_arthur
There you go. RT @DrewGROF: @bruce_arthur actually Nickeas caught that game (and they traded for him, too)

Dickey has also been talking to JPA and they plan on getting together in the new year to work on how to catch his pitches. Apparently you have to keep your glove down and react to the final location a lot more than just providing a target.

I used to play fastball, and there was some old codger in our league who had 2 full fingers, 3/4 of a finger, and a half finger on his throwing hand, and he was a knuckleballer. I was catching batting practice one day with him throwing and I swear, my hand never took such a beating. The ball was wobbling every direction, and would just dart down at the last minute unpredictably. I couldn't imagine what a MLB calibre knuckle ball would be like.

RHP Dave Bush returns from pitching in Korea, signs with #BlueJays, who drafted him in 2nd round in ’02.

I knew all these roster moves had an endgame.

That's a solid depth/just in case signing.

Wow. Seems like the Jays are doing all the right things. Even these depth signings/pickups could pay off huge. Never been soo excited for an MLB season.
NHL? What is that?

He always had solid peripheral stats and a good K/BB ratio - I thought he would do better in MIL, but didn't quite pan out.

Was listening to MLB Network radio the other day and Jim Bowden seems to be of the opinion that the Jays should go and sign Rafael Soriano to close on a pillow deal (one year only but high $$$). That would move Janssen and Santos into set up roles, possibly along with Oliver if he doesn't retire.
His thoughts are, they've gone this far, may as well go all in.
I agree, get it done AA, it's only one draft pick and some Rogers cash.
Bowden says they are the AL East favourites already.
