Couldn't have said it better. I just hope it never happens. I know Seattle was 7-9 that one year and got in but if you had 8 teams from each conference, the 8th seed could be under .500. The Jets would be in right now at 6-7. The freaking JETS! lol

Honestly, the NFL has almost pushed me to that point. If I could get behind a college team and get access to the amount of comparable content in Canada as I get from the NFL, I would probably seriously consider switching Sundays for Saturdays.

Pick a team in each conference and enjoy.

BTW NCAA games and especially bowl games in person are much, MUCH better than NFL live.

Living in California, and about 20 minutes away from Stanford Campus, I have the opportunity to follow college sports but I just can't get into it. It's always going to be NFL for me. In fact I would say my NFL love has been at a all time high the last 5-6 years especially. I can see why people love the college game but I never grew up with it so it's not for me.

With that said, stay with 12 teams!

Agreed completely. It's gotta be the marching bands and drunk students.

Just say no to more than 12.

Honestly with the new NHL divisional system coming in, there should only be three rounds. Divisional Championships, Stanley Cup Semifinals, and Stanley Cup Finals.

I say stay with 12 teams, but change the seeding format so that the two Division winners with the worst record are seeded on their record vs the two wild card teams. So a 8-8 Divsion winner would not be given the 4 seed, that team becomes the 6 seed. So last years Broncos would have played the Steelers in Pittsburgh, as the 11-5 Steelers would be the 3 seed, Texans at 10-6 the 4 seed, the Bengals would have been 5 with their 9-7 record, and the Broncos would have been the 6 seed.

Well the Eagles are making their fans want to toss snowballs at Santa Clause the way their last few plays have gone.

Here are my predictions for tommorrow's big games.

Denver goes into Baltimore and hands the Ravens their 3rd straight loss. Raven defence is too banged up, and the Broncos D is really solid. 27-13 for the Bronco's.

Pittsburgh pull out a 28-27 win over Dallas by scoring a TD at the end of the game. Dallas holds a 27-14 lead with under 10 minutes to go...and than play like dem Cowboys.

New York gets a 27-24 win over Atlanta. Ryan and the passing game have been out of sorts for a few weeks here and don't get it right in time to avoid a second straight loss.

Indy shocks Houston with a 27-24 win that very few see coming. Short week with travel has the Texans out of sorts, and the Colts get a return TD on special teams to pull off the upset, and set up a week 17 showdown for the Division.

Green Bay really put the Bears in peril with a 17-6 win at soldier field. Bears defence gives a game effort, but Clay Matthews return does enough to let the Packers defence shut the Bears down. Without the defensive TD's the Bears can't win.

New England flex their muscle and knock off the 49'ers 27-10. Brady still has a bone to pick, and the Patriots neutralize Aldon and Justin Smith. Playing from behind all game, Kaepernick struggles as he's forced to go to the passing game.

The unnoticed game,
St.Louis uses Legatron to win 15-14 against the Vikings, and really tighten up the NFC playoff picture. Adrian Peterson gets 140 yards to give himself an outside shot at Dickerson.

Agree with you on all the games except Colts Texans. I think the Texans D-line wreaks havoc on the Colts depleted Oline and Arian runs all over. 35-14 Texans. Texans are a really really bad matchup for the Colts

For those who have ever listened to Brocket 99, tomorrow's Seahawk game is as close to fulfilling the prophecy of "beating the piss out of the f*****g Blue Jays" as possible, if only because they're playing in the same stadium.

Week 15 is the defining week of the 2012 NFL season. At no time in NFL history have six games this late in the season featured winning teams going against winning teams. The previous latest time it happened was in Week 14 of 2003. Ratings this week should be huge, and they deserve to be.

But a lot of drama is missing in these final weeks. Three of the eight divisions were clinched two weeks ago. The Houston Texans already are in the playoffs. Baltimore and Green Bay can clinch division titles with victories Sunday, and the Indianapolis Colts can clinch at least a wild-card spot if they beat the Texans.

That could leave as few as four playoff spots available in the final two weeks. This season, more than in the past, there are more haves than have-nots. The New York Jets -- a have-not on offense -- still have a chance at a playoff spot, but that's because only seven AFC teams have the appearance of being playoff-caliber. The AFC is down this season.

Rodgers really struggling against the Bears D...may need to run a lot more than they wanted.
