I thought that was a really good episode even though my heart was broken when they arrested Hannah :c

And he's stupid to have left the chainsaw too...LuGuerta knows Dexter, as a little boy, was found in a shipping container where his mother was chopped up with a chainsaw.

I don't see what conclusion she can draw other than that Dexter is the Bay Harbour Butcher. I think he had to use the chainsaw as a diversion so that he could get away though. It's better to have her be 99% sure than to have her catch him at the scene.
Also, I would assume that Deb poisoned herself to make Dexter turn on Hannah, but I hope the writers wouldn't rip off Breaking Bad that blatantly. If she did, it would be nearly identical to Walt using the ricin to get Jesse to turn on Gus.

Yeah no doubt. He knows that she's on his trail and it would have been extremely suspicious if Estrada (no relation) immediately disappears. Now finding the chainsaw and plastic in the crate pretty well leaves no doubt that Dexter is the Bay Harbour butcher.

I thought is was the worst episode of the season noting above and the fact that he double crosses Hannah but what's keeping her from spilling the beans about Dexter being a serial killer? She knows all about Isaac and Estrada and could easily link the disappearance of her father to him. Honestly I don't mind the fact that the show is far fetched but it's extremely far fetched to assume that Hannah would just take being double crossed quietly and not rat out Dexter. The only logical way the Hannah situation (knowing everything she does) should have been resolved was by taking her out.
Hope next week is better.

I know a lot of folks are liking this season, but I think the damage has been done for me and I just can't get into it. I also started thinking yesterday that out of 7 seasons, I've really only enjoyed three of them(1, 2 and 4), while the rest have been pretty poor in my opinion.
When this show was good, oh man, it was great. Season 4 was one of my fav seasons of any show, ever, but 4 out of 7 bad seasons has really put a bad light on this once awesome show.
Again, IMO of course.

I think you have mentioned this once or twice earlier in this thread. No need to keep repeating yourself. We get it. You don't like it anymore.

The show isn't as good as it was in season 1 and 2 but it is still better than half the crap that is on TV. If you compare it to those two seasons of course you will be let down...but try comparing it to Hawaii Five-O or one of the millions of CSI shows and you will be saying Dexter is the best show on television.

For sure, I had it on a pretty high standard, so that would explain my sizeable letdown.
I wouldn't dare compare it to the network garbage out there.

I believe he has said it twice and both times have been in context of what is being talked about in this thread. I get tired of people who talk about how bad shows are but it isn't like he is repeatedly telling people they shouldn't watch the show. The quality of the seasons is a legitimate topic of the show and a big issue in this thread.
That said I am one who earlier criticized this season and that is as one of the few that liked the Lumon season. I still find it tough to get through a whole episode without wanting to/or actually fast forwarding but they have improved the storyline and this isn't nearly as bad as the Smits/Hanks seasons.
I wish the Isaak storyline went further as besides the eye candy quality of Hannah, it did seem to have a lot more interesting arc than the way they have gone. The finale looks good and I am excited to see that rather than just wanting to see "how it ended" like I had earlier this year.

Looking forward to it but deb is a lil bitch.
If Doakes comes back alive after all these years, what a joke that would be!!
Hannah deserves to live.

I thought it was kind of weak when Dexter's mom's killer was let free and he was going to kill him. First thing I thought was "here we go again, Dexter manages to randomly pull off the perfect kill, rinse and repeat". Boy was I glad to see that twist at the end. Reminded me of season 1 & 2. Absolutely loved it. Sad to see Hannah arrested, but I love the bond that Dex showed towards Deb. But wtf happened to the silhouette arsonist? And still no mention of Isaac or the brotherhood? There are still some plot holes to be filled, but hopefully that will all tie in next episode.
As much as I loved hearing the ''surprise motherf'er!" in the preview for next week, I will be disappointed if Doakes returns. Looking forward to the season finale!

Dexter led the police to the Silhouette Arsonist's home and he was arrested.
It is odd that the police would find Isaac's bodyguard dead but not mention him again. I guess they assume he has fled the country?
As per my spoiler...the only way Doakes could come back is if it was in a dream sequence...so yes please!

Interesting episode...
One thing I noticed is that they switched Deb's car... The one she normally drives is a newer e46 cab, the one that was at the wreckers is an older model e35 cab. But I'm a car nut, so leave it to me to notice something obscure like that.

I wonder if Dexter getting arrested is all going to be part of a dream sequence, just like I am sure Doakes' appearance will be?
