I've only ever lurked here, never signed up, until now. You all are a good source of news, actually. Can't tell you how often I've googled something Calgary and area related, trying to find something out, and the CP forum pops up, with the info I'm looking for. So I finally signed up when a google for some info led me here again. I am east of Calgary on the #1.

Quincy Egg is not DementedReality. He signed up the week after DR was banned and posts pro-NHLPA stuff, but he doesn't post nearly as often, never ventures outside of the NHLPA thread, and capitalizes the starts of his sentences, none of which fits DR.
I'm actually convinced that he's a player, but he hasn't posted any hints as to who he might be.

I can't remember who said it, but essentially returning posters can't avoid coming back to this thread in order to "defend" their new usernames with elaborate backstories about how they're "new" and just happen to know about threads like this....

Please keep in mind that posters don't have access to all the information that a Moderator does, and that things aren't always what they appear to be.
Which is fine if people want to jump to the wrong conclusion they can, but once that starts to involve serious accusations based on those jumped to conclusions.. well that can have potential harmful consequences to either the people involved or the forum.
In MoneyGuy's case it's not a simple case of duplicate accounts, the moderators were aware of the situation and decided at that time based on all the relevant information that no further action was required.
Any questions or comments about that situation can be PMed to a mod.

I think by the same token though, posters with multiple accounts and returning posters should also be aware that CP sleuths will likely out them. Sometimes they're wrong, sometimes they're right, but eventually the truth seems to find it's way out.
