I've lived in Renfrew for approx 6 years and I quite enjoy it. For me access is what I love best. 10 minute bike downtown to work, or if it snows heavy I walk 40 minutes. My wife and I do a long run every weekend along the green area by deerfoot and past the zoo. Restaurants walking distance, same with grocery store if you choose. I car pool to hockey with my bro and it's a convenient cab ride if you are out for drinks.
The trees are nice for sure, but it also means lots of yardwork too! The Renfrew aquatic centre is decent enough if you decide to go swimming and not too crazy busy.
I've jogged past the AADAC building but seems to be super quiet whenever I go by. Have never had a break-in, maybe that's because of our dog. We did have someone vandalize my wife's car when we first moved in but nothing since. Maybe it was an initiation? LOL.
