Each Game of Thrones book is divided into about 10 hours of show. People never complain about that.

Just from that article, I wonder how much of Guillermo Del Toro's DNA is really evident in the final product. Dude has a wonderful eye for fantastical creatures and sets.

Is the Cross Iron AVX also HFR3D? The AVX listing for Sunridge, has the designation "3D High Frame Rate UltraAVX", but no such designations are listed for Cross Iron or Chinook.

Sadly, I made the calculated gamble that the CI AVX will be HFR too. Mostly cause there werent any good seats left at Sunridge or Chinook, and Cross Iron is so much closer. I am praying its in HFR3D .... if not I am sure I'll see it again over the holidays.
For Chinook the show time says imax 3D High Frame Rate, but its only on some days. I have it on Tuesday. If it doesn't say High Frame Rate on the showtime- it won't be.

I hold the Hobbit above GOT personally.

Also, there is a lot more nudity in GOT that I am more than ok with them taking their time with as opposed to the Hobbit.

How are people rating the movie if it doesn't come out until the 14th?

Ps. Rhetorical questions, but still.

How about erotic scenes featuring Galadriel and Arwen?

So wait a minute, I've read in different places, both here and other sites, that there is 2 movies, and that there is 3 movies.

Which is it?

Started with two films, but they decided they had enough film to milk it for three

Three seems like it might be a bit much. I was excited for two.

But if anyone can do it, it'll be Jackson. I'm just worried there is too much pressure to make it like Lord of the Rings, which it simply cannot be.

personally I felt that LOTR was slow and long... then they came out with the extended version with the deleted scenes back in.

Holy ####. Boring. When Hobbit was announced for some reason I was hopeful, but I predict this will be drawn out and terrible.

I love the extended versions! I got them on Blu-Ray for Christmas last year.

12 hours of Middle Earth! Not counting all the features of course. Not many things I nerd out to anymore but that's one of them.

And internet messages boards as one poster pointed out to me years ago...

I dunno, they just have such a feel about them. So immersive. And convey such a great message that's nice to be reminded of every once in a while.

My friends do the whole venture to middle earth thing too, and they get highly offended when I tell it how it is (haha).

Whilst they venture to middle earth I venture to sleep or just start ramping up the drinking, after trying to stay awake watching Frodo and his same BS expression for 40 hours.

Of course, these people think Transformers was good too so...

You shut your dirty little whore mouth right there. You did just imply that Lord of the Rings was the same level of dreck as Transformers.

You've just made my list too.

Well see that's the difference I guess. I hated the first Transformers so much I didn't watch the next two.

The toys were awesome though. My favorite toys growing up.
