I had this one on my front step tonight. With it's legs stretched out I'd say it was 3.0-3.5" across, maybe a little more. It seemed pretty aggressive when I'd tap the step. I've never seen a spider around here that was so large. Any idea what it is?

Thanks! It does look very similar. I'm in NS so we're never far from water. My house is surrounded by trees but there is a stream about a 5 minute walk along the trail behind the house. There is also a very large lake a 2 minute drive down the road.
