Not to mention Aikman usually played with a lead.

Can someone clear up the confusion on homefield priority tie breakers and why conference record supersedes head to head in certain situations? I know it has to do with 3 way ties in a conference, but I'm still a little unclear on this. If Baltimore and NE end season with the same record, but not the same record as Denver, does Baltimore hold the tiebreaker over NE because head to head kicks back in?
Plus, Baltimore plays Denver in 2 weeks and beating them means they have beaten both NE and Denver, holding the tie breaker over both even if they all somehow finish with same record?

Two in a row, and should have beat DAL too.

That team plays hard. They are in a brutal division, but if Weeden keeps progressing they are going to be competitive down the road.

Suh proves again why he is a big ######. Disgusting to make fun/taunt an injured player. Didn't he just finish saying two days ago that he isn't a dirty player and people give him a bad rap?

Not to mention in the last 5-6 games they are top 5 defensively

We'll see, it is hard to predict the ceiling for a 27 year old QB.

here are all the tiebreaking procedures from start to finish...may need a lawyer to figure it all out.

LOL. Good old John Harbaugh defending Cam Cameron as he said Ray Rice's carries were a not a factor in yesterdays loss these afternoon in his presser. Lets say there coach you're up 20-13, pinned deep in your own endzone in the fourth quarter, RB's are averaging 6.5 YPC at the point, and you're playing the number 1 defense in the league. Cam Cameron ended up going with 3 straight passing players? Quit trying to Joe Flacco into Tom Brady or whoever as he isn't and likely will never be, and instead play to your strength which is Ray Rice running the ball. Zero rushes for Ray Rice in the fourth quarter says it all. Gimme be a break John.

Conference wins kicks in, and NE has the advantage. After the two play each other, the head to head tie breaker kicks back in between these 3 teams if they have the same win-loss record.

Drama starting to build in the last month.... With 3 easy games left, theres a good chance Denver takes 2nd AFC when all is said and done. The one huge advantage for NE is they play Texans and 49ers at home, with a small chance that Gronk is back for 49ers game (doubtful though). Their secondary has also looked better the last couple weeks, although Im not sure if Jets and Dolphins are much of a measuring stick.
Everyone seems to be predicting a Baltimore slide the last few games- pretty tough 4 remaining games, especially next week against Wash if Redskins win tonight and they think they have a shot at wild card. For the sake of drama, I really hope Washington wins tonight- opens up a few more scenarios in NFC.
One things for sure- this weekend will be very interesting from a Texans perspective. I really am curious to see how that is gonna go.

Good god, the hits keep coming Terrell Suggs has a torn biceps. Terrell Suggs tweeted that he's getting a second opinion on his injured right upper arm. Even if he does play the guy likely will be less than 50%.

NFL would be salivating at WC round, if playoffs ended right now, for 3 matchups...though the 4th, NYG and Bears, would draw big given the two big cities..
PIT/BAL - Round 3
IND/DEN -Peyton vs Luck
SEA/GB - Seattle wins (again!) with the regular refs!

If the nfl had an opinion on such things, they'd definitely be rooting for Washington to overtake Seattle.

I'm OK with Foles going into next year, there really isn't a QB I want in this years draft. The Eagles need O-line help in the worst way. Thought the line had a good day but a tackle is needed for sure. And safties, get me some safties!
As bad as the Eagles are there is still a very slim chance they could win the division! All they have to do is win out and everybody else lose!

To the Jets fans on the board, why does Rex Ryan keep going back to Sanchez? He got benched in the 7-6 win over Arizona and had only 97 yards with 3 INT's and 0 TD's. McElroy comes in and gets the only TD of the game and sparked the team to a win. Yet it's Sanchez again vs Jacksonville this week. Personally, I think he is a terrible QB. Just wanted to hear the opinions of others, I would have gave McElroy the start. Oh well, Jets suck!
