I love how the intro music changes week to week. This week's version set the episode up nicely.... very tense and nervous sounding. Much more so than normal I mean

That scrap between Michonne and the Governor was unreal
Also, the Governor holding and crying his eyes out reminded me of Moe from the Simpsons:
*Moe wells up* "Ah, geeze, there's something in my eye" *rubs eye* "Ah there we are, it was a piece of glass"

I think it's also to protect or rescue Andrea from what she perceives as a threat posed by Governor.

She saw right through his "charm" right at the start. Not to mention taking her gear, refusing to let her go, the book of names, the suspicious blood and bullet holes in the army vehicles, sending Merle to kill her after she finally gets to leave, holding Magge and Glenn hostage which leads to her nearly getting killed by his crew of thugs
Edit: Oh and the Andrea thing

The next time thing kind of ruined the cliffhanger with Daryl and Merle, looks like they escape the mob.

Just came to say holy crap!!! Great episode! How am I suppose to get to sleep after watching that? It shows what a great job the writers have done with the main characters when you don't want to see any of them get hurt or killed...except Andrea of course.

Looks like I'm in the minority. Yes, there was plenty of action, but to me, it ends up all looking the same. I was kinda bored by the episode. I didn't hate it, but I definitely don't share some of the same views as some here.
Action doesn't equal intense television. Give me something to think about, give me something to debate with people the next day.
For me, the show hasn't jumped the shark by any means, but Fonz is on his way to the water ski store right now. I hope it turns around and gives viewers more drama and less action.

I hope Merle get's killed for his actions, but unfortunately, if he Darryl (and Andrea, who knows) get away from the town he'll more than likely turn coat and say that he had no choice to act in such a ruthless manner against Glenn and Maggie because he was abandoned by the group in Atlanta.

only when it suits you i guess
ok back on topic, i'm really starting to dislike Michonne. how hard is it for her to tell Andrea "Hey, your boyfriend kidnapped two people from your group, and the rest came back to rescue them"? so much unneeded drama around her character just because she's a self inflicted mute

Probably because she knows she's lost to the Governor. She pulled a gun on Michonne. She didn't listen when she told her that Woodbury wasn't what it appeared to be before. Why all of a sudden is she going to listen now.

well your argument is ridiculous. there has been plenty of drama this season, and a lot of it has been leading up to the showdown tonight. this season is easily the best that this show has done so far, they've won back all the fans they lost in season 2 and more, and it's riding on some pretty high critical acclaim. your "jumping the shark" remark just seems a little attention whorish
it doesn't matter if you don't like the show, i couldn't care less. but pulling stuff out of your ass just to play the devil's advocate is pretty lame

It's an opinion. It differs from yours. No reason to attack the way you are. I'm not trying to be "that guy", I'm not looking for attention. I just don't like the way the season is going.
To me, the show works best when we have moral dillemas to debate, like when Shane had to kill the fat guy to save himself and the rest of the group. Or when Rick had to come to the tough decision to kill Shane. As a viewer, I can relate to those tough decisions. Stuff like that is way more interesting, therefore more entertaining than watching the group plan and execute a rescue mission.
I like action just fine(as you outlined in bringing up my Transformers take in an attempt to try and embarass), but I vastly prefer some(not all) of the storylines and angles in Season One and Two to what we have seen so far in Season Three.
Again, it's just an opinion. No more right or wrong than yours or fans or critics or whoever. Throwing out accusations by saying I'm just making it up, looking for attention is a little silly.
