Visual Allergy, I hope this is fake.
http://www.cbc.ca/thisisthat/blog/20...ual-allergies/
Heard this on the radio today, audio on the link.
Quote:
Emily Stuart is a third-year student at the University of Nanaimo who claims she suffers from "visual allergies." She is currently in a legal battle with her school because of their failure to provide visual allergy friendly "zones" like they do for people who suffer from food or scent allergies. According to Ms. Stuart and her legal team, these spaces would prohibited the presence of patterns, tall people, the colour mauve, and other sights that cause her to have allergic reactions.

This Is That is a current affairs program that doesn't just talk about the issues, it fabricates them. Nothing is off limits--politics, business, culture, justice, science, religion--if it is relevant to Canadians, we'll find out the "This" and the "That" of the story.
Each week, hosts Pat Kelly and Peter Oldring introduce you to the voices and stories that give this country character in this 100% improvised, satirical send-up of public radio.

Its all comedic satire/absurdity. This is That isn't real, I was also confused the first time I listened to this program.

As soon as I saw "University of Nanaimo" I knew it was fake. It's called Malaspina University.

My sister-in-law gets itchy when she sees certain patterns. Two occasions in particular were when we went to see the snow geese and the site of row after row of geese made her so itchy, she couldn't keep looking. The other time was when we were watching the movie "Chicken Run" and the pattern of the feathers on the chicken's butts made her itchy.

Ugh.
This reminds me of a teacher from a few towns over, she's allergic to the particles released when peeling an orange, so now the entire school of 200 can only bring in oranges if they are already peeled. The same applies for grapes. No peeling of the oranges and zero grapes for 200 some people because of one person

this is that is one of the best comedies going right now. would strongly recommend the podcast. best part of the show is the little filler drops. "Canada, better with a buzz. this. is. that."
