Of course, the other option is maybe someone just wanted to lick the toilet and the seat was getting in the way.

Yea, this could go into the GMG forum... It always irks me when someone uses the stalls, especially when they don't even bother lifting the damned toilet seat. I have a natural aversion to public bathrooms like everyone else, but jeebus walking into a stall and seeing that some insecure jacknob went in there and sprayed everywhere makes me want to facepunch.

I saw a pub on FB post a status saying "Happy Friday...Come get drunk"
A "fan" then posted:
Does your insurance company know you're promoting "Getting Drunk"? what happened to responsible drinking?
Quick question: Anything wrong, legally or from an insurance aspect, with a bar promoting getting drunk?

From AGLC guidelines (I just picked the relavent ones):
- Intoxicated patrons should be refused liquor service.
- Advertising must be within the limits of good taste and propriety and be accurate.
- Advertising should encourage the legal, moderate, safe and responsible consumption of liquor and discourage abusive drinking patterns.

I am in Calgary for the weekend and looking for a restaurant to try in the SE. Any recommendations? If I don't suggest something we will likely end up at a big chain restaurant.
It will be for tonight for about 8 people so preferably nothing too trendy that we won't be able to get reservations for. Not really looking for anything too fancy either, probably around $20 a plate. People are coming from Cranston and Chinook so something in between would be great. Is there a Sbarro nearby that?
Thanks

Famoso in McKenzie Towne is good.
About $25 including pizza, drink and desert.

I am in Cranston with one group. The other is near Chinook. We can meet anywhere in between. Obviously closer to me is better for me, but no one really cares.

I liked Baton Rouge in Quarry Park the one time I went there. $20ish meals in the SE.

Baton Rouge is closed down. Too bad for them because that will be a prime location in 2 or 3 years.

Anyone know of a place to get a haircut at 730 on a Saturday night for decently cheap and a decent haircut?
EDIT: In SW Calgary

One time when I got hit in the mouth at hockey and required stitches, I stopped at a Mac's and the cashier offered to close the store and perform the procedure.
Considering that cutting hair is easier than giving someone stitches, I'd say it's a no brainer that you'd get a good haircut at any Mac's location.

My son wants a Transformer for Christmas that turns into a motorcycle.
Is there such a Transformer (other than Arcee), and any clue where I might be able to find one? Toys R Us doesn't have one.

I'm getting some family photos done tomorrow at Devonian Gardens. Any recommendations on where we can park? Indoor? Parkade? Which one? It's been a long time since I was last down there.

Figured out the answer for you today. If you are taking your 3 year old nephew to a public washroom, it's easier to have him use the toilet that he is familliar with and that he can reach. At that age they are way too young to master the "arc."

So true.
My 3 year old has this urge to touch the urinal whenever he is near it.
Plus the amount of urine that would end up all over the wall and floor pretty much makes it a no-brainer to use the stall.
