Josh Ho-sang is a carbon copy of Nazem Kadri.

Apparently the favorite to start in goal for the USA at the World Juniors, Gibson, suffered an injury. Unknown if will take him out of the WJC, but Gillies would be the go-to guy if Gibson is unavailable.

I think it would be very difficult for me not to cheer for the US if three Flames prospects make the team.

Anyone manage to find a way to watch the NBCSN broadcast of the BC game today? I wanted to see if Pierre McGuire would acknowledge that Gaudreau is a legitimate prospect or not.

McQuire will probably gush about Gaudreau, but then mistakenly mark him as Oilers prospect.

Calgary should be jealous.

He's mentioned how skilled Gaudreau is (along with the rest of his line), but hasn't talked one way or the other about his chances of making the NHL.

The MSU (Matt DeBlouw) game is on BTN right now (232 on Shaw-HD). I just turned it on with less than 30 seconds left in the second, so I don't know how DeBlouw is looking.

It's 0-0 after 2.

I've been switching between the Spitfires game and the Spartans game, DeBlouw has looked great on faceoffs, I think they showed that he has won 8/11 so far tonight. Other than that haven't noticed anything really special, but no one on either team has looked really dominate tonight.

Looks like a fun atmosphere though, wish university sports was celebrated more here in Canada.

I'm hoping this shootout in the Spitfires game goes for 12 shooters or so, so we can see Seiloff take a shootout.

Spitfires lose in the shootout, but Sieloff was very good. I counted a good 10 blocked shots for him.

Only watched the last half of the spits game. Impressed with Seiloff's skating, mobility, and puck handling. Much better than what I thought he'd be. Turned it over in OT which almost cost him though.

Overall, I can see why the Flames are high on him. The skills and tools are there.

He looked better than Wotherspoon, Culkin, and Kulak from the limited viewing I've seen.

Schaller (not Flames property, but he attended the Flames' camp in the summer) scored in OT for Providence.

Gillies gets the 3-2 win.

Gaudreau adds a goal, but BC will fall short.

1+1 for him tonight.

Gaudreau just got a garbage time powerplay goal, but BU wins the game. Rematch tomorrow night on NBC Sports again.

MSU lost 1-0. DeBlouw has good wheels.

Now on TV: Medicine Hat vs Red Deer on Shaw (303 HD). The Rebels' captain, Elson, is a Flames prospect. The score is now 3-1 for Red Deer.

Also, if you're having Peter Loubardias withdrawals, he's doing the PBP on the game.

Elson scores less than a minute into the third to give Red Deer the 4-3 lead (another quick Rebel goal and it's now 5-3).

EDIT: They just showed Brent behind the Rebels' bench. Forgot he was there again. He looks as happy as usual.

Tyler Wotherspoon was PLUS-21 in November and leads the WHL with a massive PLUS-33 rating.

Johnny Gaudreau had 7 goals and 7 assists in 7 games in November.

In fact Wotherspoon leads the entire CHL in +/-
It is obviously not the most telling stat out there, but exciting nonetheless.

Ryan Strome sits second with a +32 in 29 games played (compared to 24 GP for Wotherspoon)

Ortio with a 4-1 win. 28 saves including 15 in the final period. Nice that he got the start in both back-to-back games.
