I don't know, but I was watching last night and was impressed that it is in surround sound.

There is a streaming fireplace on netflix. Fireplace for your Home, season 1, Ep. 1 and 2! What will next season bring?

Heads up - the annual Shaw fireplace comes to an end at 5:00am on Friday. So pour a glass on Thursday night and cuddle up one last time with the FPAG.

I'm sorry...I said I wouldn't cry this year...

What a dumb time to end it, it would be nice if they would have a closing ceremony with all the appropriate pomp and pageantry this deserves.........

Welcome back FPAG!
I saw this on Sunday morning. My wife actually noticed it first, and called me into the room where our three children were sitting in rapt attention at that amazing display of holiday fireplace mastery. We saw the first arm appearance within about 10 minutes, and that's when I knew that the Christmas season had REALLY arrived.

I find it hard to partake in the joy and magic that is Shaw Fireplace and FPAG this year. Last year I found out that the Holiday Fireplace is NOT a live action honest-to-goodness yule fire that burns throughout the festive season, lovingly attended by a bevvy of devoted FPAG's who feed the fire day and night and record it for posterity.

Its just a loop - about 15 minutes long that repeats over and over again.

I feel like my innocence has been stolen; my faith in FPAG ripped from me and tossed in ragged tatters upon a dirty floor.

Ah, but as Pylon so eloquently put it last year, Telus FPAGirl just wasn't the same. Don't ruin the original!

(PS. Hey Pylon, I'm still using that quote as my signature on another forum. =D)

I will say that I am 3 days in to having my TV programming turned back on -- and FPAG is often the best choice amongst the options at my disposal. What will I do in January??

People in Regina don't seem as fond of the fireplace:

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskat...larm-1211.html

Quote:
The Regina Fire Department has stopped fuming about a burning Yule log displayed at Mosaic Stadium's giant TV screens, now that the football club has agreed to change the video.

For weeks, the cheery image of the burning log was displayed on the video scoreboard at the Saskatchewan Roughriders home venue west of the downtown.

The flaming log was also shown on banner screens across the stands.

The problem was, from a distance some people thought the stadium was on fire — there have been four frantic calls to 911 in the past few weeks.

Deputy fire chief Gerard Kay said the callers were very descriptive, reporting "a very bright flame. In some cases the smell of smoke."
