May need to skip this week on that show, although they likely only spend a handful of segments to it anyways.

To answer the idiots in the Eastern media that will no doubt focus on this now:

Where does this rank Ray amongst the great QB's of the game? Nowhere close to them and an insult to actual good QBs that played the game.
There's never a lack of excuses to not listen to the awfulness that is Prime Time Sports. Worst show out there

On a positive note at least the Stamps saved their worst game for the Grey Cup, unlike the Burris years when they used those games in the Western Finals.

I am happy for Chris Jones. He's a nice guy. He puts in a tonne of hours towards this end goal. May not have left Calgary in the best way, but he's a good guy

I like the guests they have and they have a lot of topics that aren't covered by ESPN.

I know this isn't saying much but it is better than any other Canadian sports radio I have heard and light years ahead of Fox Sports radio.

and apparently the greatest football mind ever, i think Bellichik better look over his shoulder, the mighty Chris Jones will be their new coach. i guess the announcers didnt have JC Sherritt to talk about, so Jones it is

I hope Dickenson learns from this debacle. Tries to forcefeed Cornish all game and gets it put back in his face. Then, trying to punch it in the end zone, the ball goes to Matt Walter on one rush attempt, Romby Bryant on another.

Add to that the two Glenn miscues that led to 14 Toronto points, and that's a 22 point swing (assuming we get TD's and not FG's). One of the worst offensive games from the Stamps all year.

We could use him. Our #1 QB is made of glass.

Well Chris Jones likely told them how smart he is and it isn't like Suitor is goig to do any acutal research to know what he is talking.

One of the other downsides I didn't even think about with the Argos winning is that this d-bag gets a GC win.

Gord Downie is your answer? Relic from the beachcombers has more talent...

Grey Cup 2012: Justin Bieber's bubble-gum pop way too sweet during halftime

Quote:
After much hand-wringing over the choice of the syrupy Canadian pop star, Justin Bieber made his followers at Rogers Centre squeal with delight during a short, two-song set -- Boyfriend and Beauty and the Beat, two songs from his latest disc, the platinum-selling Believe.

But what should have been a one-artist blow-out (think Super Bowl, people), ended up being a rushed, school-type concert that had Bieber sprinting to finish after sets by Gordon Lightfoot, Marianas Trench and Carly Rae Jepsen.
Did we really need four performers? Don't think so.

Especially after half-baked performances from Johnny Reid, who opened the festivities with forgettable versions of Fire It Up and Let's Have A Party, and Burton Cummings, who butchered O Canada.

The half-time artists played on three separate stages, with Lightfoot kicking things off with the subdued Canadian Railroad Trilogy. Sorry Gord, that didn't exactly get the 53,000-plus stompin' their feet.

Then it was Vancouver's Marianas Trench, who proved there is life after Fall Out Boy for slightly maladjusted tweens with their song Stutter. Unfortunately, there aren't too many navel gazers at the Grey Cup. The band was greeted with blank stares, with the biggest reaction coming from the CFL cheerleaders who lined the front of the stage.

News flash guys. They're paid to look enthusiastic.

McCown hates the CFL. Well maybe not the CFL but how the Argos are run into the ground by piss poor management and how it takes 1 owner to own two teams. If it were his choice he wouldn't talk about it (which he didn't all year long) but I think the higher ups made him. Even during the round table it was Brunt being the big CFL homer.

And I'm not even sure why they would talk about it, it's not like Sportsnet had the rights. They really could have ignored it period and I think they will try their best to ignore it this week.

Right now I'd say Podcasts > Talk Radio. No commercials, and you avoid some of the crazy people that call in. Also, you don't get any of the corporate stuff as most podcasts are just from regular fans who speak a much more relatable language.

As much as Kevin Glenn needs to take some of the blame, the Stamps play calling was awful. Cornish did nothing after deciding to make a pretty unflattering comment about the Argos (Although him recognizing his two moms that raised him might have been my favorite moment of the week and a great moment) Stamps seemed to have 2nd and long time after time after time. I still think Kevin Glenn deserves a ton of credit and as much as the Grey Cup is the biggest stage, sometimes you're just off and there's nothing you can do about it. I don't think it speaks to how he handles pressure or big games, he was great last week in a huge game against an incredibly tough team.

There's a primetime sports podcast that's in a very nice package.

I like McCown, I find him hilarious and a great interviewer. He only does call-ins when there's soccer or tennis on SN1 at that time. It's the experts/guests and Brunt that make that show. McCown is just the conductor.
