Someone wake up Gord Downie and get him to wardrobe.
What I don't get is they use the Constantine's in the opening video, but that garbage at half time.

Mind you, Justin Bieber is very Toronto.

Exactly. Like him or not, he's one of the biggest stars on the planet. Hell, the Super Bowl half time planners would drool at the thought of getting him to perform.

Are people seriously arguing about Justin Bieber in a football thread? Wow...

I loved hearing Bieber get the John Cena entrance treatment - brief shrieks from the children and teenage girls in attendance, and then BOOOOOO.

They can have him but i doubt they'd use him.

Okay so 40 mins was plenty of time for Huff to rip everyone a new one.

Let's do this.

Just checking in for the first time, so shoot me if this has been mentioned before, but I think Gordon Lightfoot was the only one who wasn't lip-synching?

Brutal. Especially Bieber. He wasn't even really trying to disguise it.

Also, is there any more generic garbage crap music than Maryanne's Scrunt or whatever they're called?

Terrible halftime show except for Lightfoot (and that wasn't very good either, but I love him).

Fine but why not try to appeal to your demographic?

Unless they are trying to get more 12 year old girls watching football?

Bieber is the biggest act for the Grey Cup. Superbowl acts are all old has beens because they're afraid of boobs.

And he did it for free!

In comparison Ray has had plenty of time to throw his passes. We can't seem to mount any pressure on Ray.

The Stamps as a team haven't shown up to play,.
I think Glenn is having enough time -- he keeps holding the ball trying to force the deep ball. They've got to keep attacking underneath, and loosen up the front seven to keep Jon Cornish relevant.

Because your target audience is going to watch no matter what. Grey Cup, just like the Superbowl, is all about bringing in a casual audience so people with gather to watch the game.

@sportspickle: The Grey Cup provided a fantastic reminder that Justin Bieber is Canadian. U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!

@sportspickle: The Grey Cup halftime show would have been better received if they just had a guy beat a moose to death with a baseball bat. #Bieber

To be honest, i'm sure if the Superbowl could get Bieber for the half-time show then they would do it. The guy sells.

Now that the Biebs has left the building we can get started on that miraculous comeback.

Even the 13 year old girls in attendance can see that the A-Team is better than the Ford Mustang team.

Didn't think any of them lip-synced except for Bieber.
