Well I said IF he beats you. I saw the box scores and it looks like you were pretty close to being up 2-0. Looks like a war. Hopefully your players are totally worn down by rd2. If only EA was realistic...

Well eff this, it's all about the bitter rivalries. My computer generated players HATE yours. They want to injure your players in computer-generated fashion. If you listen closely you'll hear them making fun of your players' wives and girlfriends in binary code.

Sounds like the same thing happened in PHX/DET.

Has anyone talked to Calgary in a while? Or is Dallas just going to have to play his CPU? Preferably not.

Buffalo Islanders series:

Gm1:
NYI 1 @ Buf 5
Lit up Vokoun for a fairly easy Buf victory

Gm2:
Nyi 4 @ Buf 1
Theodore comes in and plays ridiculous...along with the help of his posts

Gm3:
Buf 7 @ Nyi 3
Neither goalie plays well but Buf offence too much for Nyi
2nd pair Buf Dman Mcquaid is hurt early on and for the next 5 games.

Gm4:
Buf 5 @ Nyi 2
Fairly even game, Buf puts in a couple on the pp to pull ahead

Gm5:
Nyi 3 @ Buf 2
Tight game with Nyi outshooting Buf for the first time this series.
Nyi scores 2 goals by poke checking at fleury while he has the puck and somehow push in 2 to tie it....then Karlsson takes a penalty and Nyi capitalize with 40secs left for the win.

Gm6 and possibly Gm7 scheduled for tonight.

When are we advancing? Because some of the series haven't even started yet and me and Calgary just played game 1.

Only 2 series are done (I believe) so far.

Ya no worries me and tagg only got two in and can't play tonight. So it'll likely be Friday at the earliest.

On a side note anyone up for an exhibition game tonight let me know. Fire me a pm. I'm bored for the next hour or so, so let me know.

Possibly the greatest come back in NHL playoffs history score is 4-0 hicago with one minute remaining in the second edm scores two quick ones in the last mine to make it 4-2 going into third edm also gets another quick one beginning of third then with 29 secs left Jordan eberle mr.clutch score to tie it and in ot off a brutal give away from quick pouilot sxores the ot winner to make it 5-4... On a side note coach is considering benching starter Carey price after an awful game that almost cost the team game 3.

I feel bad winning off a crap goal like that but the entire series was a huge battle and really it could have gone either way. You can tell that there a lot of successful strategies out there and our series proves that. I think Slybomb outhit me literally 1000 to 5 in the series. Chara was a monster and so was Martin, Boyle, Smyth and Jones. I used the speed of my forwards to try and generate offense and got lucky at the end to win the series.
Thanks again for the great series and let me know if Chara is ever on the market. J

Booooo Edmonton. Chicago's players mailed it in big time. It's okay coach held a closed door meeting after the game and things seem to be back on track. On to game 4!

Note: a 4 goal lead after 38 minutes is not safe. YAHTZEE!!!

So I have no idea how Calgary is doing this, but he invites me to a game to play a Human vs Human game, but he isn't even playing. His entire team is AI.

what the hell? Subsequently the AI turned on god mode and is tearing it up.

I have never tried that, but I'm not surprised if you can. Maybe he just went into the menu and changed the controller settings. Are we allowed to do that? Not that I ever would.

It is a GM Connected mode we are playing. I think we should be able to do that if we don't want to play the games. Just my opinion anyways. There is no way a AI controlled team is going to win the whole thing so no worries there.

Yeah, you can expect the same from the computer everytime, if you stand up/block them between blue line and center ice they will dump it everytime, when you're on the attack you can pretty much do whatever you feel like, their D don't ever seem to attack the puck/go for it, I can usually skate right up LW or RW untouched with my players.

It's a boring strategy but usually it's a pretty safe way to win against the computer.

Edm is rolling right now. Just a heads up to the rest of the remaining teams. Too make things worse it appears Carey price found his game as well.

Yikes!

Edmonton with Price and Stamkos is a bit of a nightmare. As I told Tampa before the playoffs Tagg3r is the team to watch in the west I think.

Depends what you mean by safe... if the Computer wants to win it's going to win. There are times when it just doesn't matter how good your defense is, the puck is going in your net. One spectacular example stands out to me where I played perfect defense for a solid two minutes but the puck consistently bounced to their guys, and there was no way to knock them off the puck without them getting it back. But I was blocking shots and in good position so they couldn't get any high percentage chances. Eventually it just went to the point for a lobbed wrist shot that surprise surprise went five hole. It was just obvious that the Computer wanted to give itself a goal. I wasn't even mad; it was so blatant it was actually funny.

It's worse, I imagine, with playoff games. The catch-up logic is such that it will effectively automatically thrash you to ensure you don't get too far ahead. I just finished playing a series in my other league that basically gave the player who was down in the series a 65-35 advantage in puck luck which if you're remotely even in terms of playing ability means it's next to impossible to win. Suffice it to say it went 7.
