Jeez, methinks a trash talk thread should be created. Would be very entertaining.

^Or we can have separate threads for each round of the playoffs in which people can alternatively discuss matchups, or just trash talk their opponents (or make comments from the cheap seats as desired) throughout the proceedings.

I wish there was a spectator mode for this game. I'm for sure not making the playoffs, but it would be sweet to watch some of the games. I like AR's idea though about the separate threads.

I was just thinking that about spectator mode. There should also be an option to play "Friendlies" or exhibitions or whatever mid-season with whoever happens to be online, with injuries turned off, just so you can play with your own team even if your scheduled opponents aren't around or you're out of the playoffs.

Wow, most frustrating game ever. lose 7 to (3 or 4 doesn't really matter haha) 4 goals in the 1st on miller on 11 shots, 1 was legit. then I put in Markstrom and more of the same fro the rest of the game. Meanwhile my team fans on every one-timer and refuses to pick up lose pucks just skates over them. This is Karma for winning and being outshot against st. louis 2 shots to 1.
Although credit to the Islanders who recognized my goalies forgot to play and shot for rebounds left right and center haha.

I really miss NHL 12, when people would actually throw body checks instead of spending a whole game mashing poke check no matter what zone they are in.

Aaron, goes both ways, for my rant: iirc I outshot you 40-20 outhit 15-5 time of possession was similar and lost... 3-0? 3-1? Sometimes the players decide who wins sometimes the game makes that decision for you.

I feel cheap because that's literally the only thing you can do as a defender, aside from diving infront of the net which IMO is pretty bogus.

Story of my life its brutal im not going to lie i do it but only because its 10 times more effective then making a body check because you rarely get a penalty and usually knock the puck loose. anybody else notice that back door passes are way harder in this game to score then nhl 12?

Here's my rant. Florida not setting himself to CPU when he couldn't play and ultimately costing me my playoff spot. Effing pissed.

Yeah I did the dance with FLA too and couldn't play him. Was supposed to happen yesterday and he was online for a minute but then logged off and it didn't end up happening. But I've been super busy and had a bunch of stuff get messed up the last couple of days so it's as much my fault as him, not going to hold it against him or anything.

Alright so im a little rattled right because im playing STL in playoffs and hes running over me but thats not why im mad he is a good player and would probly be killing me regardless i just cant get over how much ####tier my players are then every other team ive played every other team seems to have a superstar or 2 on there team while my best player is James Neal and he is only 84 for example here stl first line compared to mine
STL-Ovechkin (93) Spezza (87) Hossa (89)
NSH-Neal (84) Anisimov (81) Borque (84)
Am i allowed to switch teams once i am bounced from ploffs?

If there's a team open I don't see why not? Also you weren't that far off, it was 2-2 in the third in game 1.
The funny thing is when NSH started it was one of the stronger teams in the league on paper; Price in net, 5 defensemen over 80 rating, a handful of guys 85 or better on forward. Granted it was a pretty old team but definitely a contender. I actually got Hossa from Nashville right at the start, for Andrei Markov and Curtis Glencross.

Ya LA was the only team open at the moment. I'm sure there will a better selection in off season.
Good luck the rest of the series! I was just looking and noticed you don't even have the players I traded to nsh who were decent (grabner is money in this game and speurgeon was even better than bogo for me) as the GM flipped the right away to edm. So that roster was just shaken up completely. They have a lot of potential just lacking the guys that can contribute now. Should have some cap room to play with in off season.

I know how you feel Dill. My highest rated is Loui Eriksson at 85, and I've got anderson as my starter at 82

Hey my team isn't exactly stacked, I have Ryan Miller and Bobby Ryan (only 86) other than that I have EJ who is good on D. I have 1 first liner in each position then just a bunch of very old low 80s to fill in the gaps haha. You can probably make it work, my team started off just horrible and eventually through free agents and some lucky waiver pick ups and lucky trades they became mediocre haha.
