Ummm...
Didnt the 49ers play with their backup en route to a blowout against the vaunted bears defence...
I think ive proven my point..

Thought of Sylvanfan when I saw this. Apparently it's real with a friend having a bit of humor.

Ouch. The Steelers are in big trouble next week. They're down to Charlie Batch (their 3rd stringer) for next week. They even had to go out and sign a backup QB.
Say goodbye to any chance of the playoffs Steelers.

Don't have to say goodbye to anything in the AFC this year. Looks bleak, but anythings possible.
In other news, Ed Reed no longer suspended and fine dropped to 50k, per Schefter tweet

Reid has completely lost that team. They can't even play for pride at this point. What a hot mess that team is. Eagles will take a run at every name coach out there this off season.
Line help on both sides is desperately needed especially on the offensive side. I think Foles looks ok but tough to judge behind arguably the worst O-line in the league. Agree with RC, draft a tackle and shuffle the line around. If the line is solid the offense should be fine. Need a big overhaul in the secondary though. Not sure what to do there.
Ugly times.

The secondary would be fine if they had any depth at safety. Coleman is atrocious.

There is notifying to defend really. I was at the game and it was disgusting on all accounts. The only thing worth defending is Cutler once again. It may not be a top offense with him in but he makes the league worst offensive line look bearable.

This sort of sums up where the Bears are right now....
Quote:
Via ESPN Stats & Information, the Bears' seven victories have come against opponents whose combined record is 25-44-1. Their three losses are against teams that are 23-6-1.
|
I still think they are better than they were last night...but by how much is a real question.

They have been missing their starting quarterback for half that time, which waters down that statistic. They fall somewhere in the middle give their top defense and bottom 10 offense. At least as far as I am concerned

Agreed on Coleman but I don't Allen is a starter. Too many missed assignments. Really not sold on Asoumugha as well. He just looks lost at times but that could be a safety issue as well as it is usually the deep balls he looks bad on.
It just looks out of sync to me back there.

I thought Allen looked good up until they fired Castillo. The whole secondary has looked bad since Bowles took over, but the d-line isn't getting pressure either. I think Asomugha has been alright, but he's gone next year unless he restructures his contract.

Charlie Batch is an experienced guy. I wouldn't count the Steelers out simply because he's going to be playing. In fact, I think he gives them a much better chance to win than Leftwich did.
They still have a great defense. If they take care of the ball they will be in the game.

My first go round was pretty routine so won't post it but that does show how tough the Lions schedule is the rest of the way.
They should get a top 10 pick and a shot at getting the CB out of Alabama hopefully.

Take a deep breath, it's going to be OK.

Wow. Ted Cottrell lifts Ed Reed's suspension, fines him just $50,000 fine. Guess that's why there is an appeals process.
|
Edit: The Steelers signed Plaxico as well.
