Bring back PeteLFan just for the entertainment factor! And to see him go off on Mike Brown's coaching, which is every Laker's fall back excuse currently.
The Lakers have a huge drop off going Nash to Blake. I feel like a horrible person to have to do it, but the Lakers are still going to be okay. Far to much talent on that team, they'll just take awhile to gel.
That being said, really weird start to the NBA season. Heat got destroyed by the Knicks last night, Denver is 0-2, Houston has looked great and the Bobcats won a game!!!!!!
Just as PeteLFan predicted them LA Lakers sure are dominating teams.... 1-4 now after losing to the Utah Jazz 95-86 tonight. I really wish he wasn't in the sin bin as I'm sure he would be having epic meltdowns.
Wow I knew he was going be get the boot - but I thought he would last until at least Thanksgiving. Good riddance !!! Now if I could just get to watch a game on TV that's not nationally televised that would cap the week off
Lakers coaching possibilities: Phil Jackson, Jerry Sloan, Nate McMillan, Mike D'Antoni, Brian Shaw & Stan Van Gundy
God, I would love it if Stan Van Gundy was again coaching that baby named Dwight Howard. Mike D'Antoni seems like a another excellent choice. I mean if you want a really good laugh.
Mike D'Antoni couldn't handle Melo and Amare...how's he gonna handle Kobe and the biggest baby in the game Dwight? I wouldn't be surprised if D'Antoni is gone before this season is up. Phil is still the endgame here, once Jerry Buss swallows his pride its going to happen.

Buss wants to prove they can win without Phil Jackson and get a ring without him as their coach.
They might be able to do it but D'Antoni will need to develop his offense because you can't expect Howard, Gasol, Kobe, and Nash to run the same way Phoenix was able to 4/5 years ago.
I don't think it's ego. Phil, though not fact, was going to come at a much higher price. There are varying reports that he asked for a lot, and sure he may have earned the right to ask for it, but an employer has to see if it's worth it. Besides that, your probably not going to find a more talented team who can try the all-offence route, so I don't think D'Antoni's hiring will be a bad thing. I'm not sure if it'll work in the playoffs, but it'll be a treat to watch in the regular season.
Glad to see that prick Ron Artest is back and elbowing people in the face. He did last night and the victim was Jermey Lin, wouldn't it be funny if someone "accidentally" elbowed him in the face. The guy is such a disgrace and an idiot.
