Well that's just terrible. Doesn't he know he's supposed to score the game winning goal, not assist it?

5 goals and 2 assists on game winning goals for Gaudreau now (BC has 9 wins).
3 point night for Janko puts him at 0.7 PPG.

We keep being wowed by Gaudreau and Arnold being point-per-game players in the NCAA, well we've got another one in Deblouw.

I listened to the end of the radio broadcast of the MSU game, and there were 3 big faceoffs late in the third and OT in the MSU zone and DeBlouw took (and won) all three of them.

Update on the European prospects after 20 games:
Ramo has a 2.21 GAA, .919 SV%, and a 14-4-2 record.
Granlund has 4 goals and 8 assists in 20 games.
Ortio has a 2.29 GAA, .919 SV%, and a 8-9-3 record.
Keep in mind Ortio and Granlund both play on a crappy HIFK team.

Those are great stats for Ortio for playing on a crappy team.

Wow, Ramo and Ortio with virtually identical stats, yet Ramo collected 11 more pts over the same 20 game sample size? Sounds like Ortio isnt getting much support from the offense.

Tried to embed the video, but couldn't get it.

Jankowski's goal and first assist were nice. He had the primary assist twice, some good setups.

I guess the departure of Mikael Grandlund (MIN) reallly hurt their offense, even markus grandlund is not putting up as good points.

Any team will suffer when they lose their best offensive guy, but they also lost their coach in the summer and the replacement is inexperienced. We'll see if they'll sign some extra help. Olli Jokinen is an IFK guy, I wonder at what point he's going to make decision whether to come to Europe.
Ortio played his third shutout tonight, so his stats are actually a bit better now:
92.23 svp, 2.17 gaa. At the moment, he's fifth in the league in save percentage and gaa, first in shutouts, second in wins.

EDIT: there goes Gillies' shutout bid. 6-1 Providence.

really get the feeling he'll come on in the latter half of the season, and bolster those stats when all is said and done.

It's still three weeks away, but since we've all already marked our calendars for it, I thought I'd share this link I came across yesterday: https://www.nmnathletics.com//regflo...B_OEM_ID=25400
Live Streaming of the hockey event of 2012: Eagles @ Friars, Gaudreau & Arnold @ Jankowski & Gillies. Four Future Flames on the ice together for the first time. December 7 at 5:00pm MT.
$5, and there's no Heat game that night, and no Flames game scheduled if they can somehow get the season going by then.

Going into this weekend CBS sports had Gaudreau ranked number 2 in their Hobey Baker watch.
